We are in beautiful Sedona watching the sunrise. Looking forward to seeing CC and family in a few hours.
Lots of texting back and forth with DD about next steps. First thing is finding a venue in September or early October in our Cape Cod town. I will be flying home on 2/8 so we can look at venues on 2/9. The timing coincides with a baby shower for a close friend of DD's. I am wrapping in a girls night out with the 2 SILs and another close friend on 2/10 before I fly back to Florida on Super Bowl Sunday. DD wants to wait to lose some weight before she goes to look at dresses. I don't know when that will work. My shoulder surgery is possibly going to complicate things.
Will be thinking about Diane S and her DH. Hopefully the doctors will get DH stabilized so he can go home and a cardiologist will pick up from there with more haste than they were willing to do previously.
Have a marvelous Monday!
ETA: I just realized I had messed up the date several times this week and corrected them LOL

Another 4 ups for Kirby last night! I continue to be a zombie. He can't help it, but I will be thrilled for the next worm pill Wednesday in case that helps. If it doesn't, not sure what I'll do. I know Liz and Mike's visit will wake me up!
Definitely a beautiful sunrise (and the sunset last night was incredible too). I love the way it lights up the rocks.
Solar guys should be here any minute. Amazing they can finish in a day.
Is it wrong to have wanted the Ravens to beat the Chiefs yesterday just so I could have a break from Taylor Swift? And sad to see the Lion's hopes dashed. They were doing so well...
Okay off to start the day. Have a great one!
Not to rub salt on a wound, CC, but I was absolutely delighted that my two puppy girls' first night in crates went beautifully. Little Yellow cried for about 5-10 minutes and then settled in for the night. Both pups slept through until I got up. I think it helps that they have the grown up dogs to model correct crate behavior.
Food continues to be sugarless during the day with the one "planned" dessert at night. Baby steps.
Ron's b'day today, so I made reservations at nice Italian place he likes and we rarely visit.
Today is also the 100th day of school. YAY! More than half way done with this school year. Amazing how quickly it goes without the stress of the regular classroom.
Exciting news about weddings and trips and ER visits! I hope all turns out well for everyone!!!! - Especially Shrinking Nerd!
Not much else here.
Merry Monday, folks.
Greetings all
Early for me to check in but I am having a blessedly slow day so far. That changes in the afternoon as DH will have endoscopy at 5 or so. Meanwhile he just sits there with the Clampetts and can't have water. I will go down there in a bit. Likely bring him home after this stuff.
Yep watched the football and the 49ers earned their win though I always like underdogs like Lions. Don't really care who wins the Super Bowl though I do enjoy the games. I am a sort of agnostic football fan.
Peps yay on the good girl pups. Enjoy.
CC and Liz have fun. CC hope you get an energy shot from this fun that tides you over.
Poppy is doing fine and I have released her from her little jump suit. She seems happier without it and is not fussing with incision. Sketchy on pills though.
Time for me to get going and get busy. I need a grocery run to get sick guy food for DH. Chicken broth and various mushies. He will be hungry tonight once all this is over. Mushy often means carbs. Can't win.
Kudos to all of you limiting sugar and such.
Liz wedding planning sounds fun. Hope it will not be stressful. You have lots going on. Main thing is to let DD have what she wants and enjoy the process.
Cheers. Diane S
Hope Diane's DH gets sprung from the hospital soon, but not any sooner than he needs!
Loved the reports on TT about the meet up, and looking forward to a whole group meet up in the future.
Peps, I think the planned dessert is great. Because that's what we are really after, CONTROL. Being in control of what we eat, rather than being driven by cravings that feel anything but controlled.
DH is trapped in Boston! Flight delayed. He said they have a cover off the right side engine. Not good. Delta, my sweetie has been away long enough. Send him home.
Today was a much better day than Friday, thank heavens. I'll just keep taking one step after the other, and it will be the end of February and Florida, and then spring break, and then June at last.
Greetings
late iPad check in. Dh is still in hospital. They did not finish scope until nearly 7 and doctors gone. He was unhappy but it's just as well because he had another afib episode. So tomorrow a cardiologist will show up plus endoscope results. He is not happy - peed his bed because help was too slow. And the clampetts have been noisy. I am tired from spending 6 hours there with not a single comfortable chair in the place, there is a tolerable tv lounge but only tolerable --- not especially nice. So I hope to get him home tomorrow. Me thinks I should play scrabble but that just won't work.
Hospitals are no place to be for any length of time. Especially when you can't rest with the Clampetts effect.
