DS was back home on Cape Cod at 1 am this morning. It is much quieter around here. Today is a regroup, laundry day. Though we may eat some leftovers today, vegetarian chili makings are on the shopping list. It is the best way to jumpstart eating healthy as I love the stuff and it is super filling.
Some prospective buyer complained at the old house that there was a dead animal smell. We went over to air it out and at first thought it was the new carpet "off-gassing", but we caught a whiff of the other too. I had time to look in the refrigerator, stove, microwave and all cabinets and it isn't there so it must be in the attic. DH is going to look up there to see if he can find anything and we are buying air fresheners. What's next???
Not much else to report. I need to find the best ice machine, TENS unit and sling to be sent to Cape Cod in advance of my surgery. Thank you Ocean Diane for the suggestions!
Have a magnificent Monday!

Argh! Just one little deceased mouse in a wall is all it takes to give off a bad smell. Hope you find the source! If you're barely smelling it, maybe it's near the end of the smell period?
We had some nice rain the last two days, but it didn't added up to much. A little more in the next two days then sunny for a while.
Kirby slept until 5 am last night. I'm a little tired!
Today I changed the direction my dryer door opens (so easy to fix something so annoying!), did a load of laundry, and vacuumed.
I have board stuff to do - treasurer's report and preliminary budget for next year. 11 months left!
That's all I know!
We couldn't smell it today so maybe you are right that it was trailing off? We put febreeze plug-ins in a couple of places and sprayed febreeze around a bit. We left the windows cracked and fans going as it isn't supposed to rain for the next few days. Hopefully that will do it!
Sounds like Kirby is improving with his sleep patterns. Fingers crossed that he keeps improving.
Greetings all
It's grey and drizzly. I picked up payroll and stopped into the studio. Things came out of the glaze kiln and I stopped by the hardware store for my special epoxy glue.
DH has had some spells of a fib today. He has a pill to take which slows his heart rate way down. Then he feels crappy. He was told to call back in February to get the heart ultrasound as they were slammed but I think he needs to get more assertive. I will get after him when he is finished watching Ancient Aliens.
Yikes Liz, a dead animal? Hope it's gone soon. And veggie chili sounds great. Beans and corn and zucchini? Yum.
CC Kirby is sure growing like a weed! Enjoy. Might need a slip chain collar if he gets too difficult on walks. Poppy is really bad about circling me and pulling me off balance. Needs power steering.
And CC I am sure your dad is following the NFL playoffs. Studio buddy is amped that the 49ers might get to the S bowl. That means a pot of chili and a watch party here.
I am not thinking much about food. There is good and bad to this. I am not wanting to eat all the time but will just eat whatever is handy to get rid of hunger. Unfortunately that is often carbs. English muffin is easy to grab. 3 ounces of lean roast beef - not so much unless the deli has it.

We will miss the games on Sunday since we will be traveling. But we will be back for the Super Bowl!
