Food funerals! Sometimes I think my more successful diets started without them mostly because I was so disgusted with myself that I just had to stop with the overeating. But after this week of going out all the time next week has got to be the opposite. Vegetarian chili and grilled chicken are on the plan for next week.

Today we may try to go to the outdoor music venue we often visit on the weekend. It will be cool and windy though so it might be tough to stay. Tonight I am taking DS out alone without DH. DS found a restaurant he liked the reviews for and made a reservation. This is his last full day here - he flys out late in the day tomorrow.

Time to get the dog out. I hope CC wasn't in and out all last night again. Her description of the lack of sleep definitely reminds me of the early baby days.

Have a substantive Saturday!

Hallelujah! He slept through until 6! BMs are normal again, through still shedding worms. Blech. These are roundworms, not tapeworms. I've seen tapeworms before. These look like spaghetti (sorry for the description). At least the dewormer does both. But I took a picture and will show the vet when he goes in for his rabies shot next week and hopefully we can get a different pill for his second deworming round.

I had the afternoon to myself yesterday. My dad got a last minute dermatology appointment at Mayo Scottsdale for 3 things on his head. They removed what they could, but not all. He'll have to go back for mohs soon. I forgot how much I like being alone. It's like I am never fully relaxed otherwise.

Still no word from LillyDirect on my prescription. I read a post of a response someone got from them saying they are so slammed, it can take 8-10 days for them to even look at your prescription. Then communicating with you to set up an account and check insurance, then they ship. So I'm not thinking this will happen anytime soon. I suppose better than those waiting 8 months plus for Wegovy...

Anyway, that's all from here. Oh, the bug guy found a live scorpion on my screened patio where we walk out at night for dog potties (off my bedroom). Lights on from now on in there! Blech again.

Take care all!

Sounds like it is more difficult to get the prescriptions in some regions than others (since DD and her DH are able to get them)?

I guess the issue with Wegovy (and I'm thinking Zepbound is following suit) is the starting doses. Maintenance level doses are easier to get. If you control how many people start, you control how many maintenance doses are required.

That makes sense!

Greetings all

It's been raining all day. I had gallery duty this afternoon and three people came in in 3 hours. Oh well. Crosswords for me.

Yeah food funerals. The only one I had pre vsg was a prime rib dinner. I had prepared myself to give up stuff. I think thats a big part of it - being mentally ready to say no thanks.

Veg chili sounds good Liz. In fact, any kind of hot soup sounds good. Might have to make some.

CC so glad Kirby is doing better. Yeah I am with you on being alone. I think it's because if anyone else is here I feel like I have to be on alert all the time to get people what they need plus prevent them from letting dogs out or messing something up. DH is not here right now. No clue where he is but I suspect it involves the grocery store.

Studio tomorrow maybe if it's not pouring buckets.

At this time of year the little Pacific tree frogs are breeding. So they make an enormous amount of noise! It's a roar at the pond. Tiny but loud.

More pot roast tonight. Good comfort food on a cold rainy day.
