Continuing on the weather ups and downs. After a day in the high 70s with showers we have a sunny day with a high around 60.

Yesterday afternoon we were supposed to play bocce but the other captain called to reschedule 1/2 hour before the game because he was worried about thunderstorms. We should have said no because it looked like it would stay dry for quite a while. There was a 4 hour break in storms which was enough to play. Now we have a reduced list of participants for the rescheduled time on Sunday. We did get to go to a treasure museum (we live in the Treasure Coast area of Florida) that DS wanted to see so we filled the time.

Dinner at the Strip Mall restaurant ended up being good after a bit of a glitch. DS and I had ordered the monkfish special - the fish was overcooked and the mushrooms were undercooked. DS was very unhappy but they replaced his meal with another choice that was fantastic. I didn't bother because I was too full to eat more anyway. Score for VSG.

Today we are heading south to a Manatee education center and a botanical garden. Places one doesn't usually go to when they live in an area but bring company to LOL.

Time to get Justice out for our daily walk, then clean up for our events today. Have a wordy Wednesday!

Kirby was better last night. I fell asleep early, so he first woke up to potty at nearly 11 and then 5:30. Then done sleeping at 6:30. Had his breakfast, played with his toys and now asleep on my foot. Pretty sweet that he likes sleeping between, behind, or on my feet.

Still no prescription for either of us, but I have high hopes for his at least today. Apparently Walgreens has the worst reputation for Zepbound prescriptions. Never in stock and can't get the discount card to work. Sometimes they get it to work the first time, but then start asking for bogus medical codes for the second. The consensus is Walmart or Eli Lilly Direct. Both will require my doctor to resubmit, but might be easier in the long run. It's funny, but since deciding to do this, I'm down 4 pounds. I didn't think I was trying. In my reading, it's interesting to me that when people are asking for prior authorization (mine doesn't cover it at all, so no point in doing that), often the insurance company makes them try Wegovy/Ozempic first. They are equally expensive, so I wonder why?

Today my dad and his wife want to go to a local delish bbq place for lunch. Last time I couldn't finish my pulled pork sandwich, so us girls will split one and my dad will have his own. Normally I can power through, but these things are enormous. The buns are twice the size of a normal bun.

I think that's it from this corner of the world! Take care all...

CC, fascinating about your weight loss. I'm down, too. Not sure why.... Must be all the thinking about losing weight that triggers slightly better eating... Who knows.

Not much from here today. I have staff meeting after school, followed by my second appt. with the Zerona/WL clinic. I will make my decision after today's session.

Nice to be down to three puppies. Weirdly I'm stressing over which puppy I would like to keep.... It could be I am not meant to keep any of them..... Sigh.... We shall see.

I am already looking forward to the weekend. Sunday is a free and clear day. Haven't had one of those for a while!

Liz, I know what you mean about visiting places that are so easily accessible for us but we don't go. I haven't been to Alcatraz since I was a child in the 1970s and I have never been to the top of the local mountain from which one can see over 200 miles on a clear day. I've only been to Yosemite once and I live only 2.5 hours away. Sigh....

When I lived 20 minutes from the ocean, I didn't go for decades until my UK friend made it a habit for us!

Re: Not getting to the sites in your own town that are tourist attractions. In Brazil they have a saying: A domestic saint makes no miracles. Someone said this to me after I went to one of these sites, and was surprised to discover hardly anyone I knew had been there.

I called the vet twice today. The first gal said the vet would call. After 3 hours and no call, I called again. Good thing as the results had gone into the electronic mailbox of a vet who is out of the office for 2 weeks! I never would have heard back.

Kirby has tapeworms. One pill today and 1.5 in two weeks and then retest. And she said he's old enough to start on Nextguard plus for fleas, ticks, and worms. I had to weigh him for them to pick the right dose - he's gained 9 pounds in 3 weeks! And still all gangly and skinny. Amazing.

And I contacted my doctor and had her send my prescription to LillyDirect pharmacy, canceling Walgreens as they couldn't get their act together...

Walgreens in general has been a nightmare. I moved my Wegovy prescription to a pharmacy associated with the U of M. They deliver. I should move all my prescriptions.

CC, just because I want you to be informed before giving Kirby Nexguard.... Please, please, please read the FDA Warning on the drug.

Nexguard uses an isoxazoline neurotoxin to be effective. It is the same medicine that trigged seizures in Lucky and his littermate. If i had not pursued eastern medicine for Lucky, he might not have managed to detox from the med. As it is, he has permanent neuro damage.

I use Simparica Trio for Justice. I never saw this warming. Thankfully he has done well with it.

Greetings all

It was pouring earlier but not now. Had the house cleaned this morning. No sooner had the cleaner left than Tesla marched in with muddy feet and tracked up the floor. I am grateful I chose a good camouflage floor design. Color streaks are the exact color or our backyard dirt.

Yeah there are so many tourist places around here that I have not visited since we first got here. There are about a million redwood trails but I am not inclined to walk them. Things can change. Used to go to the north jetty where the ocean meets the bay. But now it's a wreck due to waves and lack of maintenance. The ocean does not leave anything along.

Stopped in the studio with a gob of paperwork from he accountant. I did not get much other stuff done. Needed another store trip for coffee filters so I got two boxes.

Well if thinking about weight loss made it so, I would be a size 6. But I do think that having it on your mind leads to better choices. I still have good restriction and can only eat a half sandwich at most. Of course restaurant sizes today are ridiculous.

Last nights zoom meeting was routinely ridiculous. First 20 minutes were trying to get everyone connected, phoning them to tell them to turn on audio etc. Communication in the digital age has gone down hill. Approving the publicity budget degenerated into who likes what papers, and who thinks advertising is worthless.

CC Kirby is always going to be on your feet. A real snuggler. Enjoy.

Peps are you for sure keeping a pup?

Gossip up in Trinidad the other day about the movie filming. Rumor was that they were going to film in the museum parking lot and also at the restaurant across the street from us. Maybe Leonardo Di Caprio will come to our gallery.
