It is another anniversary of my late DH's death. Still so sad, but it was a relief when it came after his years of dementia.
Tough news about Ocean Diane getting a shoulder replacement. At least I have had time to prepare mentally.
And yes, Kirby could be a dog actor. Such a beautiful puppy! His energy level sounds similar to the level DH's grand dog had as a puppy but now she is super sweet and much more easygoing. When they first had her she rarely snuggled unless she was crashing after her craziness, but now she snuggles all the time.
The other Florida house goes back on the market today or tomorrow. Contrary to previously it now has professional pictures and will be advertised in the local paper this weekend (the ads go into free papers and real estate versions). The house has had a fresh paint job, new carpet in all areas not tiled, new faucets, new shower door, and a new roof under contract to be completed by mid-February. And a very motivated seller. I sure hope it goes fast as DH has been very depressed by it taking so long.
Not sure what I will do today - DH is golfing. Maybe go poke around consignment shops (there are a lot of good ones around here)?
Have a winning Wednesday!

Did I miss what happened to Diane? I saw the shoulder replacement, but did she get hurt vs regular wear and tear?
Kirby had a fine time getting petted by the roof estimate guy this morning. Many wags and scritches were had. I think the roof is still going to be pricy with this company, but he did say it was in good shape so not an urgent matter. They do coating in the Spring through end of Fall so I can pu**** until late in the year. He said it's not hard for them to recoat around solar, so it doesn't need to come first.
Aside from that, not much happening here. We're going out for Mexican food tonight. And we're watching The Diplomat on Netflix. I've already seen it, but knew my folks would like it.
Take care all!
Ocean Diane posted this on Saturday: "2023 is going out with a crash. Things were going really well until they werent. short version. friday i fainted in the livingroom. crashed down onto right side of body. black eye, chipped tooth fat lip and broke my humerous. ambulance ride and follow ups with pcp and ortho. in sling. sadie brought me my phone. it wasnt a hip and i can pee."
Greetings all
Another north coast day of rain and fog. The house got cleaned and I went to the studio to pick up new things and do glazing. I also stopped at the bank to fix the stuff they messed up yesterday. Can't anything ever be done right the first time?
Last night we watched the Leonard Bernstein movie "Maestro" or something like that. It was quite good. I was not all that eager to see it but DH wanted it and I was pleasantly surprised. Great acting and an overall feel for the times and how they changed during his career.
CC just got rid of the mud wasps and now roof coating? It's always something. I think we may be due for new decking this spring. And I need to line up a lawn service as DH just cant keep up. Around here grass grows all winter and its very green.
Ocean Diane we will be thinking of you during shoulder operation. Be safe.
Liz fingers crossed on the house. Sounds like it will show well.
The studio was super busy today. New classes starting and loads of people running around. Glad I have my little closet to hide in. My grandfather was very uncomfortable in crowds of people and would never go to graduations or events and only to one restaurant. I think I am like him.
Well the gallery drama has worked out. The resigning member apologized for his condescending resignation which basically said our gallery was a crafty gift shop and not art. Other people had to weigh in on all this but its ended without too much *****ing, I made an art piece recently with a slug figure holding a sign that said "Think before you *****". It sold immediately. Must do more.
Finance chores to begin. Most of the battle is finding the stuff I need.

Thank you Peps. So many changes since he died and so strange and sad to think he won't be there at his daughter's wedding.
