We leave for Cape Cod late tomorrow. I am worrying about wind taking off, getting in on time to get the rental car, driving from the airport to home, and being frozen. Sigh...I guess that's why I don't sleep before I travel.
I was eating every carb in sight yesterday - probably anxiety produced so I need to not do that today.
We see the cardiologist this afternoon to find out how the tests last week went. I think I am nervous because DH is. He had a dream that he died suddenly the other night. Geez!
Hopefully that discussion goes well as we are doing our Christmas celebration tonight - Going out to eat at a super decorated spot then exchanging gifts back home.
Here is a picture of my original tattoo when first done on the left, what it had faded to in the middle, then the recolored version on the right. Hopefully it will stay brighter longer this time. It was done in memory of my eldest DD who had all the Pooh characters tattooed around her ankle with the hundred acre woods behind it. Tigger was her first tattoo done when she was 18 and away at college.
Have a wondrous Wednesday!

My life is a lot of lather, rinse, repeat of late. Cleaned up some messes today, Kirby slept through to 6am then snoozed after a potty until nearly 7! Talked to my dad a bit, and waiting for Fed Ex to sign for something my dad's wife is waiting on. They get here Monday. I had to take everything off the coffee table as the pup is now tall enough to get up there to pull things off. Sigh.
Not much else going on! Take care all!
Greetings all
Back to a real keyboard today and it's another sunny crisp and calm day. I think it's supposed to be nice for several more days. I'll take it.
Yea Liz I have seen those nice iPad keyboards. Looks like a good idea. I don't think I would use them as I only message on the iPad late at night when I am sitting in bed. Mostly I play games on the iPad and look up stuff while watching tv such as what is the population of Russia or what novels did Edith Wharton write? I so love being able to do that. So amazing that instant information is available. When I was a kid my older brother was constantly doing the same thing only with our old World Book encyclopedia.
And Liz that tattoo is beautiful. Great job refreshing it. Wonder what makes it fade? I love Tigger and Winnie and Piglet.
Yesterday I was really wiped out and no clue why except due to lots of driving. I have become an old lady nervous driver and I think that just wears me out. Have some more to do today but not as much. Scrabble is a 30 drive and only part freeway. So I treated myself to a nap. Skipped walking which I will absolutely do tonight. Only won one scrabble game. I had the Shark on the ropes but then he had a couple of 50plus moves and I was trashed. The guy is a word machine.
Brother has finished his treatment and is on the way home. Long drive then long flight. I will feel better when he is out of there. Really hoping all this risk is worth it in terms of health improvement.
Peps I too have resting ***** face. I look like a crab all the time. Not sure there is enough botox on the planet to fix it. I seriously considered a face lift some years ago but I am beyond that. Can't be bothered. I had a 70 year old aunt who had a face lift. The thing was she still had a 70 year old hairdo, glasses and clothes so what did it matter. She wore her hair in an "up" hairdo and you could see the scars behind her ears. Anyway wishing you well with it.
Tee Hee CC puppy proofing the house! Hope you get him well trained on a leash while he is 20 pounds and not 70. He will love having guests! I got a picture of one of Poppy's sisters the other day. She looks exactly like Tesla - more so than Poppy.
More errands today to pick up the well duh bonus checks. I will be popular today!
Cripes Christmas is coming. Not sure who all will be where we gather so I have to come up with extra gifts. Fieldbrook Winery here we come. Look it up sometime - it's a cute place. Last year was all Moonstone Winery so must change this year.
The new Quick Zip sheets have arrived. Perhaps I can get DH to apply them to out bed.
Time to go. Christmas Duh checks await.

I hope your brother does well with his treatments.
Tattoos fade via sun exposure which I tend to have a lot of...

I just realized I've been going to bed so early since the puppy wears me clean out that I missed 3 posts from yesterday!
Peps, I have resting smiley face. I smile even when I don't know I'm doing it. My mom took credit saying someone once told her no matter how mad and frustrated she was, never go near the baby without a smile on your face.
Liz the touch up on your tattoo is great! I always wondered how color held up versus the dark ink.
Diane, I do better on word games on computer. I kind of need the computer to tell me when I'm making a word up... speaking of word puzzles, I had Wordle in 2 today! My 15th time.
When I was younger, I confused people because I would smile and laugh when I was angry. Now my upset face matches the emotion, but my default also is smiling. It's nice to be a person who can smile easily, because people often smile back. Small, little pleasant exchanges like that can change the day.
Although when not smiling, my increasingly saggy jawline makes me look mean. My aunt once told me, as you age you are either a sinker or a sagger, and my dear, we are saggers. She was right!
Liz the tattoo update is very nice. Is the script of Elise's name her handwriting, or yours, or a font that you liked?
We had a big safety meeting today at school. Again the conversation about if something is going down, and we're locked behind our doors, do we open the door if some kid is frantically knocking to get in? Lord help me if I ever have to say no because it might endanger the kids I have with me to open the door. Terrible choices.
I got home, and promptly took a 2 hour nap. I feel pretty good right now!
So awful that one has to worry about gunman in schools these days.
Elise's name is in her handwriting. It was traced from a greeting card.
