As Diane S says, "Life is good". Sometimes we need to remember that.

Beautiful day yesterday weather-wise and today may be similar (unless it rains). We may try a repeat of a beach club day. The only other endeavor is laundry. We stayed in last night and plan to do the same tonight. Nice to have the place to ourselves after the sisters departure.

Really not much else to report. Time to have a Justice walk. Have a superb Sunday!

Enjoy the hopefully good weather. I'm convinced when I retire I will need to live somewhere warmer during the winters. Winter weather slows me down so much.

Yesterday afternoon we went to see Saltburn. Freakadoodle movie. I didn't dislike it, and some parts were captivating. But other scenes, such deviant behaviors. I wasn't offended as much as what the hell?

Today I hope to motivate myself to go grocery shopping so I can make a pot of chili. I'm used to DH buying the limited stuff we eat. My appetite is pretty surpressed, but once in awhile it breaks through and I want food, real food. Some homemade chili full of veggie****s the craving.

So not much planned for today. Next week will be a busy week. We are day 163 of working without a contract. The district offered us 1% raise. It was rejected. Now their negotiations team says they won't meet without a mediator. Fine with the mediator, but now that pushes the next negotiations meeting back a few more weeks, probably to January. So we are starting some actions, like informational picketing. I love standing outside in December, not! But it needs to be done.

Yesterday and today have been better with Kirby on limited water. Whew! He's still having accidents, but it's mostly missing his cues, or taking him out, him messing around out there, coming back in and he goes 15 minutes later.

The governor will be at a fundraiser at my across the street neighbors' house this afternoon. I have many things I'd legitimately like to express my thoughts on to her, but was not invited (not my political bent).

Not much else happening here. Yard guys just did a cleanup and it looks so nice with all the leaves that blew in yesterday blown back out again. Kirby will be sad as he loves dead leaves blowing in the yard. So crunchy. I was able to catch him being afraid of their leaf blowers and picked him up to show and tell him they weren't scary. We were able to go out while they were finishing and he seemed unafraid, and interested in the leave action. Treats followed.

I think that's it! Off to spy on the event like Mrs. Kravitz...

Life is indeed good. It's sort of sunny today and not raining. That will come soon. Meanwhile I need to go out and get dog food and coffee which I cant get at the same store. Also need an onion so thats a third store - if I am to make chili today. Maybe I will put that off until tomorrow.

DH is having an a -fib episode according to his apple watch. So he has taken his pill. I want him to go lie down so he can raise his legs. He feels fine but one must listen to the apple watch guru. We have not heard back on his medical stuff to be scheduled so time to get assertive tomorrow. DH is the kind of person who will just wait for a call back. Not cool for now.

DD jeepers, did management offer you a stick of gum along with the 1% raise offer? Thats absurd. Not even cost of living. Hope something comes from negotiations. Standing outside in the cold does not sound fun. Maybe you could bring one of those ice fishing houses. Wish you did not have to deal with this.

CC Gladys Kravitz!!! That actress used to live in an apartment building near where my brother lives now. He pointed it out to me when I was there. So spy away and tell us what you see! Meanwhile glad to hear Kirby is doing fine with less water and is acclimating to the leaf blowers.

I was going to go to the studio today but think I will skip it since DH has this thing. Maybe we will watch Openheimer instead. I hate to watch a long and depressing movie in the evening but afternoon is ok.

Getting texts from my brother. So far so good. Stuff starts tomorrow.

Liz laundry is never done. I have some too. Hope you get the beach club in. In fact, skip the laundry and go to the beach.

Time to do something useful. Like making a roast beef sandwich. Diane S

I hope your husband feels better soon and gets from answers from the doctor!

Gladys would be all over this. Yelling, "Abner! These people drive some very fancy cars that they don't know how to park!"

LOL I had forgotten about Abner.....

I hope all goes well for your brother. Hard to have him so far away and potentially not in the medical world we are used to.

And good idea to stay home and watch out for DH. I would definitely do the same.

LOL on Gladys Kravitz! My DH always invokes her when he thinks I or his sisters are too nosy.
