One time we "ran away" for Christmas, and the 4 of us went to Florida. My extended family was supposed to go to, but they flaked out. My mother had the audacity to say, I can't believe you're not going to be home for Christmas. I just laughed, she was the one who initially planned the trip, then canceled. It is still, for me, The. Best. Christmas. Ever. Christmas morning pool side, sipping coffee, not a single obligation except to have fun.

Your son's culinary talents should make for an awesome gathering.

It's sunny and crisp. A beautiful day. I have not done much. DH went to the health food store to shop at the big sale. Not sure what he got but I got lots of good stuff yesterday. Had a nice roast beef sandwich for lunch with deli beef. Yum.

Liz glad your mood is better. Mood stuff is seasonal I think for some of us. Holiday related maybe. But we are glad you are moving forward on the shoulder plan and that you can get another shot. And beach club visit. And that DS is doing christmas.

CC glad the vet has a plan for Kirby's water. I bet he drinks it because he likes water. Water dog thing. My friend with a lab years ago had a hard time bathing him because he tried to drink all the water. 7 cups sounds like a lot. Plan sounds reasonable.

DD sounds like a great christmas program. And congrats on being liberated from christmas eve. Running away sounds like a great idea too. Also getting yourself invited to friends house which is what we do. But I do have to do some chirstmas shopping - most likely at the local winery.

So my brother is now overseas for his stem cell transplant. I am very worried because it's a rather unsafe part of the planet. Just hoping it all goes well. We are in touch on Whats App.

Didn't make it out of the house today. Busy with my air drying hair. We watched the Army Navy game and it was good. We also started a 3 part series on Apple TV about the killing of John Lennon. Pretty interesting. Last episode tonight.

Shrimp for dinner tonight. Life is good.
