I'm thinking about the choices everyone is making by hiking, work outs, treadmills. I need to be more consistent like you all. My Mom is almost immobile at 82. Some was bad luck/bad genetics health issues, but I try to tease out what was impacted by choices made. Like she wouldn't take Fosamax when it was prescribed. Because if I live into my 80s I don't want to live in the space between my recliner and bed. So I need to make more consistent choices about movement. My mantra should be mobility, mobility, mobility.

To that end, I am consciously trying to walk faster on all my trips around my school. I do get a decent amount of walking. We live in a front to back split, (4 levels) so I am up and down the stairs constantly. I'm holding my arms out in front of me so I am using my core more to go up, instead of an assist from the handrail. I really enjoy 10 - 15 minutes of Tai Chi. And I think it helps me sleep better. But I need to get back to the health club.

Our neighbors had extra tickets to a local Christmas Concert and invited us to join them tonight. A nice surprise, because this concert sells out and tickets are hard to come by. It won't have a dancing Satan like last weekend, definitely a more mainstream type gathering. We've attended before, and the music is lovely. Looking forward to it.
