Waiting on the landscaper who is 2 hours late. Later I have a hair appointment, so Kirby will be home alone for the longest time yet. But I am so overdue for color it's embarrassing. I'll leave him in his crate with a frozen Kong, and hope for the best!
This morning I made an appointment to have the tankless water heater serviced. Because of conflicts with his training classes, the earliest they can come is the 22nd! Brr. Thankfully we are running 11 degrees above normal here.
Not much else happening here. Hope you all have a great day!
I could have sworn I had done a posting this morning. Must not have pressed submit LOL.
I am at the airport waiting to fly to Boston to see the shoulder surgeon. When I made the appointment 3 months ago I was in extreme pain. The cortisone injection has lasted much longer this time so I probably could have waited until our regular Christmas trip. At the time I thought I might want the surgery over the holidays so I took the first available time. Now I am thinking maybe late March after our anniversary so I can enjoy the winter here but have it healed enough for summer activities. We shall see what the surgeon recommends.
We met with the new broker this morning. She suggested minor staging including a full paint job. And thinks the price is fine! The people *****neged on the last offer were asking us to sell the house at more than $100K less! With no advice from our former broker. She was representing them and us which I think was a real conflict of interest. Done though and this broker who has sold a lot of homes in the area thinks we should be able to get it sold fairly quickly after January 1st which is when the most popular time to sell/buy starts.
Time to get ready to board. Have a marvelous Monday!
Liz it's probably good you're getting your shoulder looked at now, before the pain really cranks up again and you're in crisis. Good news about the house. Hope it goes quick once this agent is done marketing.
CC, you'll have to let us know how Kirby did!
Today is DD's 31st birthday. I was looking at baby pictures and feeling nostalgic. Trying to be a decent Mom to her and her brother is the most important work I'll ever do.
My students might be settling down. Usually Monday is crazy, but today they were all pretty mellow. Not complaining, but I just never know what to expect moment to moment.
DH has the new dishwasher installed! Yeah! Hope it is as good at cleaning dishes as I'm imagining.
In addition to Wegovy cutting appetite, it can mess with your thirst mechanism. That happened to me after surgery too. I realized today I never used the restroom until around 2pm. I currently forcing down my 3rd 8 ounce glass of water since I got home. Probably need to get a 4th one in before bed. I did drink 3 cans of Diet Coke at work. And I had soup for lunch. It must count for some hydration?
DD, you also affect the lives of the students you work with. More impact on the world than those of us who just do our jobs. Looking back I realize that my influence in my children's life was so much more critical than anything I ever did at work even though it seemed so important at the time.

Kirby did really well! He was quiet and calm when I got home after being gone for 3 hours!
Guys, I don't want to jinx it, but he has had no potty accidents today!! (Knock on wood) And I even found him sitting at the back door when things were too quiet. We went out and he peed! I think we witnessed his first asking to go outside... My buttons are busting with pride for the little man!
Here's another question for all my dog loving friends: when they have your clothes in their needle vice grip teeth and are committed to tug of war (tugs and some little grrrs), how do you get your clothes out? He just put his first hole in my sweatshirt. I couldn't figure out how to get him to let go without pulling.
Greetings all
Drizzly here so I went to the studio for awhile and did glazing. The place was humming. I learned from one of our staff that some other studio members have designs on my private studio space. Well they don't know what they are dealing with. Tee Tee.
CC Kirby is a good boy! He is doing well if there are beginning signs of potty training. He is still very young. Glad he did well while you were out. Hope the water heater woes are resolved.
DD happy birthday to your daughter! Blessings on the calm kids.
Liz all the best on the house sales. Someone told me that you are supposed to bury a small statue of St, Anthony upside down in the front yard in order to sell a house. No clue if that works. Modest staging and paint sound like a better idea.
Dinner tonight is chicken marsala and veggies and potatos from the deli. Reviews to follow. Last night was a hot roast beef and cheese sandwich. They failed to disclose that there were chili peppers in it! Picked them out of the leftovers today.
Yeah we missed our Tuba Christmas. Oh well. I am sure there is one on youtube.
Cheers. Diane S

Water heater for the floor heating can't be fixed until the 22nd unfortunately, but it's warm enough at this point, it's not an issue yet.
My good Jewish friend was having a hard time selling her house and did the St. Anthony statue buried upside down and they had an offer in a few days with easy people. She swears by it!
Sorry you missed tuba Christmas!
