The sun is out and hopefully it will warm up to the high 70's today. Yesterday was chilly all day and the Italian night I took the SILs to that was supposed to be outside was moved into the clubhouse.

COVID seems to be done here - DH is 5 days out, felt fine all day yesterday, and tested negative last night. I never got it. So the visit with the SILs is back on track.

DH also received notice that he was cleared on the fraudulent loan - it was an SBA COVID loan. In addition to notifying DH that he was clear, they sent a lot of information on locking his credit. I guess we should all be doing that as you had suggested yesterday.

The plan today is the usual Justice walk, visiting the beach club, and dinner out at a wings place DH and the SILs love. I don't eat wings so I will get some sort of sandwich, eat half and have the rest for lunch tomorrow.

Have a tasty Thursday!

Today is Kirby's first puppy class at Petsmart. I met the woman who is the trainer. She seems nice and has a lot of experience with training. I hope he has fun.

He slept pretty well last night. Yay! One potty break, but otherwise was pretty quiet. He's still not getting potty training. He'll go most of the time when we go out (after he's done rolling and playing with the leash), but still going in the house. We may need to go hardcore on the crate training to dial in the potty training. He is very vocal about his dislike of being in the crate or pen during the day. And he'll pee in the pen, so it would need to be the crate.

I also have book club today, but his training class is at the same time. We'll go late and he can come with me and meet everyone.

It's cold today, in the 40s and rained last night. It smells so good outside!

Take care everyone!

I stuck completely to crate training rules with my two puppies before Justice (who was 3 when we got him). The first puppy was fully trained within a few days. The other one wasn't as bright (truly) but she more or less had figured it out at not much more than a week. But neither one complained very loudly at being in the crate so I didn't have that issue.

The day of meetings was exhausting, in between teaching. DH and I are going out for dinner, where I will unwind, and have a nice old fashioned and a salad I did not chop up. Yeah!

Greetings all

It poured rain for awhile this morning but now the sun is out. It stopped by the time I went out to the studio so thats good. The new shed just built down there appears to leak.

DD you are so right - a salad that someone else makes is always better. Sorry you had a rough day but glad you can relax now.

So I am cooking the pot roast. It's a small one which is fine. It sure makes the house smell lovely. I always put in a bay leaf and I think thats what smells so nice. The organic bay leaves from the bulk department at the hippie health store are much more aromatic. Probably because they are not 20 years old and from some far off place. Keep meaning to plant a bay bush or tree.

CC puppy class! How fun. Hope its good.

And yeah I am a firm believer in crate training. When we had the litters, I put a small vari-kennel in the pen with the door removed. They were 3 or 4 weeks old. The pups would just go in there to explore and sleep. I had a piece of fabric in there and each pup got a piece of it when they went home. Both our dogs often go get in their crates. Maybe you could get a special toy for Kirby that he only gets when he is in the crate - like a yak chew.

Liz glad Mike is doing well and that the trouble has passed. Wings! Sounds good to me. I remember when chicken wings were undesirable and only used to make broth.

Well it's 4 o'clock and my snacking time so I am having a glass of Fairlife milk. Hits the spot. Thanks to you folks for telling about it. Its great.

More laundry to be done. Why do I have nothing to wear?
