We are back in Fort Lauderdale though still on the ship at breakfast at 8 am. We will likely be off the ship within the hour and picking up Justice by 11 or so.
It was a great week though the kids did not take part in any of the activities offered on the ship. The other adults spent time in the casino (neither DH nor I gamble) and both daughters ended up winning a fair amount of money. They basically recouped any out of pocket expenses they incurred (DH covered the flights and cruise fare).
I am looking forward to being back home and walking with Justice. Time to stop eating so much - too many full meals.

I think I picked up a bug from the puppy - either during the great blowout of 2023 cleanup or carrying him around. His intestines are functioning in top form, but mine are not. I had a fever along with it last night. I happened to have an antibiotic prescription I hadn't used and started that. Fever is gone and stomach is a tad... improved is too strong a word, but not as bad as it was. Argh. Now washing my hands after I pick him up.
He has his well puppy vet visit later today. Otherwise, laying low as much as possible today.

Yeah, I'm with you Liz.... Time to stop eating so much. Easier said than done, though, right? LOL
Lots of dog stuff going on today... puppy visits, grooming auntie Kathryn's dog, BFF wants to come over tonight....
On the food front, I have not gone overboard this week, so that's a very good thing, but boy, I wish I could set my mind in the right frame to string together a few weeks/months of clean eating.
I am enjoying the pups here, too. They are now over 3 weeks old and out of the neonate stage. I am always so relieved when that milestone has been reached. The continue to be a quiet and content litter. Makes things easier for me.

It is the festival of eating, for sure. Except for CC, hope it's a short duration tummy upset. I've had more carbs than usual, mostly because they are in the house right now, and they are just easier to eat. I can eat about 3 tablespoons of the lasagna for example, but I can eat a slice not banana bread that I made for the kids. (Right, its for the kids!). Getting enough protein is a daily struggle with this Wegovy.
Speaking of carbs, we went to our coffee shop this morning with our son. DD was meeting a friend for brunch.
Not sure what else the day holds. We shall see...
