Off to see friends in Venice, then meet other friends in Siesta Key where we are staying for 2 nights. It is a 3 hour drive across Florida but a relatively stress-free (and boring) drive.

Yesterday was busy and mixed. We saw the cardiologist who said the pacemaker is working well (there is a monitor that transmits data automatically). Apparently it is acting as as aid to raise DH's heart rate 75% of the time which means he really did need it. Unfortunately he is still feeling weird/dizzy on our walks. Apparently there are some other heart abnormalities which the cardiologist is going to look into so a nuclear stress test and another echocardiogram have been scheduled. A bit disturbing.

In the afternoon we took Justice out on a boat. It was a good ride except that I smacked my tailbone on a cup holder when we unexpectedly went over a huge wake. Wow am I sore today when I move certain ways and the bruise is quite significant. But I am pretty sure I didn't crack anything as it doesn't hurt all the time and isn't that bad when it does.

Last night was outdoor Happy Hour at the clubhouse. It was packed and incredibly hot at 6-7 in the evening. We finished the night at a downtown restaurant with some great live music.

That's all the news fit to print right now. Thinking about puppy worlds :)

Hsve a sweet Saturday!

Does a body need to adjust once your heart rate to a more normal rate? I wonder what is happening in your body when your heart rate is chronically slow? What compensations does it make? Very puzzling. Sorry to hear that this wasn't a yeah! fixed moment, and there are more tests coming. Thank heavens DH is getting good care.

Siesta Key, is that by Sarasota? We haven't been there yet, but want to go , I hear it's beautiful. :)

Had a long, glorious night of sleep. Feeling good as we get moving here to go out for coffee.

The weekend awaits!

Yes, Siesta Key is just south of Sarasota. Gorgeous beach with sand like confectionery sugar and laid-back small downtown with cool restaurants.

A 3.5 mile hike this morning and cramming in the last few episodes of Ted Lasso season 3 before we leave for the airport (she doesn't have Apple TV). Such a good show.

Tomorrow I am going to veg on my couch in silence and jammies all day!

I am procrastinating figuring out the puppy logistics. So far away, no easy way to get there and mixed with Thanksgiving travel chaos.

That's all I know at the moment!

You'll figure it out but I'm sure it is a bit of a logistical nightmare.

PS - you don't truly appreciate all your various parts just working quietly in the background until you need an intervention to keep them going. I'm sure it's very scary for him (and you) to have to go through this.

Thanks - yes scary as nothing real obvious was causing problems.

Greetings all

It's a great fall day but no one informed our football team as they lost. I lost count of how many interceptions they threw. I mean I think the quarterback has some kind of perception issue because he cant identify the other team.

Oh well. Studio buddy came by today and yack yack yack. She had pictures of the house she is building and it looks great. But she complains non stop and it gets dreary.

I made a store trip since I am out of half and half. Got chicken curry from the deli. Hope it's not unduly hot tasting.

Liz sorry you bonked your back end. That so hurts! Hope it is well soon. Ditto Mike. I think I had that nuclear heart scan once and they found nothing. I think it was part of VSG prep. That seems so long ago. Hoping they don't find anything and that doctor is just being cautious..

GL with the puppy travel CC. Two of our pups went on airplanes when they left here. But the car trip would be quite a long one! No advice other than just do it.

Dinner last night was this shredded chicken. I thought it was some kind of kit with mexican flavor but it was just plain chicken. I added some veggies but it was icky and DH refused to eat it. Tonight it goes to the dogs.

DD have a great jammie day. Well deserved. Enjoy.

DAng I was hungry when I went to the store. Not a good plan.

Time for more football

P.S. We started watching the Fall of the House of Usher last night. It has interesting contemporary twists but it is creepy creepy creepy. We like it but be prepared for gross. Diane S

Thanks for the warning! I don't do rely very well, so I'll probably watch through my fingers...
