Not much time as we need to leave in a short while for boating. It is a bit gray out right now with some on and off small amounts of rain. Hopefully that will trail off by then.

This morning we finally met the neighbor below us with whom we share the garage. She also has a little dog who has exchanged a few small barks with Justice out the lanai screens LOL. She told us that the Wednesday afternoon get-together by the pool for our building and the one next door start this afternoon. It will be a busy day with the boat, the get-together and book club tonight.

DH continues to improve though he didn't feel very good after the walk yesterday and this morning. He is going to wait until that subsides before going to the gym. I think he needs to eat a little bit before we walk.

Have a warm Wednesday!

Poor DH! I hope he feels like himself again soon.

Ooh, my upper body is sore today from climbing up boulders on all fours and hauling this bod up...

This morning we are having brunch with one of my Sedona friends (planned for my UK friend to meet two, but one has a cold and is kindly sparing us from germs). This afternoon we are going to hike along the creek.

I contacted the puppy breeder and she said they got their vet clearance today and will be 8 weeks next Wednesday and can go home after that. Eek, time to figure out logistics! I was thinking they were 8 weeks the following week.

Off to brunch now, take care and have a great day!

That was quite a hike - didn't realize you had to climb over boulders.

Puppy time!!!

Greetings

It's nice and sunny which is good because my wet hair is air drying. DH just made a grocery run. That means there will be chips in the house. I know it's my responsibility as to what I eat but it would help not to have chips nearby.

Hey Liz the building gathering sounds like fun. Good to get to meet your neighbors. And a buddy for Justice. Hope the boat ride went well and was not too tiring.

CC if I were you I would be mad at the neighbor for taking you on that terrifying hike. I would have turned around at the first bolder. Glad you are safe. And yay puppy soon! Name yet? How about Barney? or Tiger?. We can't wait until puppy comes. How far do you have to got to get puppy?

Lazy day here (like all). I spent time on the phone getting information for retirement plan distributions. Apparently my former law firm has some particular distribution forms so they can't email them. Must come snail mail. Eventually I was able to speak with a real person after a lot of time and data entering on the phone. Jeez I hate those phone trees.

All this reminds me that Christmas is coming. I want to give some particular books to friends this year so I had better get after it and order. One is a biography of Robert Joyce, inventor of the silicon chip and founder of Intel. He went to the same college I went to. Also a book about a local woman named Betty Chinn who has devoted her life to helping the homeless after living on the streets of China as an orphan. Truly a saint.

Not much else. DH brought home a turkey wrap for dinner. I had some kind of taco chicken thing that came prepared but oh well.

Cheers. Diane S

Chips are my siren call. If DH wants them in the house, our agreement is he keeps them out of view, AND he doesn't let on in any way they are in the house, or I will look for them. I cannot be reasonable in these matters. I'm pretty reasonable otherwise, so he deals with my chip obsession kindly.

I know it's nuts, but the puppy is in Indiana. The lengths one will go to to get a puppy that looks the way you want them to look! Blocky head, squishy face... I might combine picking him up with a trip to Mi for thanksgiving.

Hey. Totally worth traveling for a door pup. Tesla.s husband was an English import. Good health and quality matters, diane

Now that's a good plan. Introduce the puppy to family and have a holiday visit!

The books sound like a great gift idea!

Puppies and boats/water, all things to love. Scrambling over boulders, well, can't say I'd love it, but I think I would feel proud I did that climb CC.

Students again. They loved the graffiti board idea, and were on it right away. We'll see how it goes when some kid draws over another kid's design. I explained that was sure to happen, but they assured me it wouldn't be a problem.

My retired friend who I team taught with for 10 years stopped by school to say hello. I was so happy to see him! So many changes this year. Currently I'm teaming with a younger teacher, who he mentored. He's a great teaching partner too, but we're still getting used to each other. The current younger teacher is so generous and kind towards me. But the teacher *****tired liked to razz me a lot. I miss it :)

Went to a happy hour with the sped department after work. Good to be reminded that things are rough, but my colleagues are a joy. That's one blessing in this year. I'm sure I'll find more along the way.

Moving up a dose again with Wegovy. I'm taking the 1.75. There is one more dose beyond that, 2.4. I might not have to advance to that one, because the manufacturer is now saying trials indicate 1.75 can also be the therapeutic dose. At any rate, I can be on it for the next 2 months.
