We arrived home at just about 9 last night and I picked Justice up at 8 am, then we took our usual walk. He was happy as a clam!

Not good news this morning. Our friends who told us 3 weeks ago that they would buy Mike's house just decided they aren't moving after all (don't want to sell their house on Cape Cod). We kept asking them if they were sure and they were adamant. So now we only have 2 months left to sell it before the end of the year (we can sell it for less due to tax advantages). The previous broker did a terrible job - not great pictures, lukewarm description and no real marketing. So DH really needs a new broker if he expects to get it sold. He may have to honor his contract with her for another month though so it means telling her precisely what we want done.

On a better note, now that we have our boat licenses we have our first in-person training on Saturday morning. I may need boat shoes!

Time to be somewhat productive in planning the day. Have a thought provoking Tuesday!

I hope the snow bird market heating up will bring you a buyer before the end of the year. Need some bad weather up here to make people remember why they need a winter home!

Speaking of storms, we had a rollicking summer like thunderstorm here! Thunder rattled the building. The lights went out and our generators turned on. Awe inspiring, with a twinge of fear. I think this means the 60 degree days are over, and colder weather is moving in. I did not get hit by lightning in the parking lot (always a fear of mine, big, flat lot on top of a hill) and am safe at home drinking tea.

Causality of the storm, my newspaper is wet, but maybe salvageable. Trying to dry it out in the kitchen right now.

More conferences tomorrow. Then done until spring. More craziness today, and another new task (!) . My que sera, sera attitude is still in effect. I've made deliberate choices all my life to keep good mental health, and build a good life. It feels good to set a boundary, you can have my effort and skills during the work day, but you can no longer have the rest of me.

Continuing to enjoy chili, and a little drop in weight again. Little tiny amounts are adding up to something I can see and feel at last!

Greetings all

It's a gloomy day here. I woke up with a scratchy throat and did not feel well. Decided not to go to scrabble. I had DH go get me a covid test which is negative. Yay. I think I might have had a touch of fever but feel fine now. Green mint tea to the rescue.

DD I guess you are due some twinkies! San Fran laid a big egg and did not play well. But the game was fun. Studio buddy was here and she was sneezing a bit which is another reason I wanted the covid test. Her house building project is driving here crazy (short trip tee tee) but progress is being made. She is the kind of person who is always in crisis and I have learned to blow it off. I look forward to when the house is done but now she is talking about doing her own cabinets which she knows how to do but I think it would be a mistake. But not my problem.

Liz I bet Justice was one happy little dude. Hope something happens on the house. Light fire under realtor.

DD you are wise to have the que sera sera attitude. No fussing and worrying will do any good and will just trouble you. Yikes a lightning thunder storm at this time of year! Very odd. Congrats on weight loss.

I had planned to go to the gallery today but didn't. So must go tomorrow. I glued some wine stoppers while sitting around being sick-ish. Something useful from the day.

So our gallery is scheduling featured artists throughout the year. I have passed on this in the past as I feel pressure to make a lot of new stuff. This year I guess I am stuck with it. I volunteered to take a crappy month that no one wants - like February - but I am in May. Oh well, gives me time to work on an item or two.

Not much else. DH scored chicken pot pies at the health store. Yay comfort food that is already cooked.

Time for more tea. Cheers

Diane S

Yes, we are all kind d of shocked here in Minnesota! And the Gophers beat Iowa and got back Floyd. Strange days indeed!

Definitely don't need Twinkies :) I'm currently making myself eat a protein bar because my protein count is too low for the day, and I can't face any meat or eggs right now. The protein bar is NOT delicious, but it's efficient.

I went for a hike with a new friend I met in the women's group. We had a nice time! But I am so out of shape, it's not embarrassing, it's a wake up call! After a mile and a half, I was a wreck. It was a very rocky trail, so a lot of balance work and a lot of elevation change. And I didn't have near enough water. Dumb on my part. My preferred size bottle didn't fit in my waist pack so I downsized. Rookie mistake... So a big headache now. Argh, I need to do a lot more walking and hiking.

Another bird just died on my window...

Construction guys come back tomorrow to finish up some things. My house is a mess and I'm too tired to clean right now.

I think that's all. Have a good a day everyone!
