The weather seems beautiful this morning with only a slight chance of showers. Unlike yesterday went it went from full sun to drenching downpours in less than a minute. We attempted to go to our pool for the first time and got caught in one. So yesterday ended up being a good day to finish cleaning the condo and thoroughly scrubbing all the patio tracks so the doors slide smoothly. DH did grill for the first time narrowly escaping one of the showers. I am going to actually log the distance from our door to the grill to stop his inflated estimations of how far it is LOL.

Today we might make a visit to the beach club (or try our pool again) prior to our second bocce game. We are playing the top ranked team in our "division" and I think we may have only 3 of us playing again. It has been a struggle getting people to play this fall. Some haven't arrived and the people here have had other commitments. I think we may skip playing in the fall next year.

Time to make the bed, etc, then get Justice out for his daily jaunt. He is waiting somewhat patiently.

Have a terrific Thursday!

ETA: The actual distance/time to the grill via stairs or elevator:

I did not win the Powerball in case you were wondering! Haha. No one did again...

I did well on my eating yesterday. The sugar/carb cravings the first several days when you cut back are no joke! Now I need to add back exercise.

Tonight I'm having dinner with my neighbor. Otherwise no plans today. Probably need to vacuum today. Maybe a walk too.

I think that's all! Liz, have a great pool day. Diane, so glad your DH is getting looked at. That sounds scary. I think with medical things you have to be very assertive. Nice people end up very low in the triage hierarchy. Peps, enjoy your trip! DD, I was in Safeway when the emergency thing went off. It was packed. Most people could shut it off, but a bunch of the older folks either couldn't hear it or didn't know what to do about it, so there were alarms ringing the whole time I was in the store.

Take care everyone!

Trying something new this evening ~ our city art center has a Pub Night the 1st Thursday of every month. I decided we should check it out, so we bought tickets and will be heading over there around 5:30pm. I think it's a duo tonight, guitar and piano. I've been so tired and just coming home, reading the paper, watching some TV, and going to sleep. Having this on the schedule gave me a little pep tonight.

Scale moved a little bit again today. Fraction of a pound, by fraction of a pound, I'm inching my way to my first goal.

Diane S, hope your DH is getting some good follow up care. Keep us updated.

Liz, seems like your DH has turned his grilling story into a classic walking both ways uphill in a snowstorm kind of classic. As my BIL likes to say, Why let the facts get in the way of a good story.

CC, I'm afraid I might have been one of those old people in the store. More and more I find myself befuddled by my electronics! I've had Spotify for about 9 months. I've managed to make a "favorites" playlist, but nothing else. If I had your shower that needs to be adjusted with an app, I'd probably be showering in the backyard with a hose.

Peps, hope the East Coast is still treating you well.

Greetings all

It's almost hot here. Like 70+ degrees. We have the ceiling fan on. My studio has a south window and it actually gets too hot in there in the winter at times because the lower sun really comes in. Good for drying my little clay things in the window.

Went up to the gallery today to take some new art and deliver a load of paper towels. A couple of members were there so we blabbed for awhile. Mostly about places we have been but don't want to go back to. The only place I am interested in seeing is that new dome theater in Las Vegas.

Tee Hee Liz, a manageral analysis of stairs vs elevator for grilling. Neither looks too onerous. But I can't believe taking the stairs is the same calories as the elevator. And I guess cleaning is a good thing to do if it's raining.

CC enjoy dinner. Are the balloons back? Do they go away in the summer? No clue when balloons are in season.

DH is trying to get a follow up apt with his doctor. Primary care doctors are like the thin part of an hour glass. Jeez. But so far DH is fine. We shall see. We are lucky the ER was not busy when we arrived yesterday as we might still be there.

Not much else. Picked up dog food. This pet store does a lot of rescue work. Two women were sitting on the curb with an adorable puppy who looks like he is headed for a good home. Puppy looked like a yellow lab with really short legs.

Salmon tonight from our favorite deli. Their salmon is wild and line caught and not the icky fish farm stuff.

DD the pub crawl sounds like fun. Nothing like live music. Better than TV for sure. Enjoy.

Our team plays tomorrow evening. Leaves us with a free Saturday.

Have fun Peps.

That puppy sounds adorable. Puppies can be dangerous.

The balloons are a year-round phenomenon! But I am more likely to see them in the winter as they go up at a time more in line with my waking up. The sun comes up mighty early around here most of the year.
