Back home from Fort Lauderdale already! We left at 8 am. Justice was thrilled to see us and is sitting next to me giving me frequent kisses. Dogs are such lovely creatures.

A couple of pieces of good news: DH's son is getting married in January. He is going to "elope" with his fiancé and marry in Costa Rica. So no wedding. We really enjoyed meeting her last night. A lovely young woman and they seem well matched.

The other is that there are 2 possibly viable offers on DH's house which has been on the market for 4 months. They are for a lot less than the agent led him to believe he could get back when he first listed it but he just wants to have it sold by the end of the year at this point.

Tonight we have a dinner/dance. It was supposed to be outside at the beach club but with the threat of thunderstorms I suspect it will be moved to the clubhouse. Not as nice a venue but it should be fun. I think we will be early home from it though as we tired from being out last night.

Dog walking time! Have a successful Saturday!

Happy news for Mike's son and the whole family! Sure hope that the house sells and the offers aren't so low as to be a bitter pill to swallow.

Diane S, we have a Pizza Hut in our town,, and there are never cars there either. And if you order take out, its a ridiculous amount of time for it to be ready. I'm convinced it's a money laundering operation.

Last night's party was fun. We got to drive the birthday girl home. We reminisced about how I used to drive her and DD and a gaggle of their friends to their various goings on. I was always happy to drive. I would learn so much if I just quietly drove. My daughter had such a wonderful group of friends, I miss them still.

I'm full of pimento cheese. I brought some to the party and had some still to bring back home. Hopefully my mini splurge will keep me full for a long time. High fat does really satiate.

It's been a cool rainy week, but its warming into the 80s, bright and sunny. Tomorrow is the Twin Cities Marathon. This weather is not great for the runners, hot and humid. When they've interviewed people who will compete, and they were less concerned, pointing out they trained all summer in hot humid weather.

Enjoy whatever good things come your way this Saturday!

Still cutting weed seed heads. I'm on my third construction sized trash bag. Taking a break and I'm itchy with pokey seeds sticking all over me. Sigh. It's good exercise right?

I went to the drive through car wash today and picked up some puppy books at the library. It's been a while since I raised a puppy! I'm sure as much changes as stays the same, plus I'm sure I blocked a lot of the worst out from the trauma of raising needle-toothed Baby Fergus... Maybe I can make it easier on myself this time? Advice from my uber experienced dog friends welcomed!

I had another scorpion on my wall last night. A baby. Gah! I swear, it's the #1 thing I dislike about Sedona! I'm looking forward to cooler weather where they hide.

Food was fine yesterday. I'm trying!

Take care all...

I always crate trained my puppies and they went through that part quickly. Only one was a real biter/chewer and that was a challenge for the first year. Other than giving chew toys to keep them occupied as much as possible I was at a loss as to how to completely stop the chewing of chair legs, etc. other than her outgrowing it.

Greetings all

It's a sunny saturday here but I have been indoors. We watched our football team lose big but it was to the #2 team. Oh well. Now we are watching Oregon. I am doing the linens and catching up on bills, paper stuff, emails and misc.

Yay Liz good news on Mike's son's engagement. And lucky you to not have to mess with wedding. Hope the house sells. I think real estate agents often tell you they can get a high price just to get the listing. If they are wrong, they still get paid. Sorry there are storms but oh well.

Chinese food was not good. Makes me wonder how they stay in business. But I may have made a poor choice in ordering.

DD glad your drive home was fun. Yeah it's fun to listen in on young people. Hope the weather is not too hot for the runners.

CC bushels and bushels of weeds! Amazing how one square yard of turf can yield gallons of grass. Makes me think I should get some yard work done before the rains start. And yeah puppy books. Liz is right that crate training is important and a good thing overall. Ditto crate in the car. A good dog traveler is important. Tesla is a very good traveler. Poppy whines in her crate. Get your pup hooked on ball retrieving early (shouldn't be hard) so you can use that to control behavior later. You are gonna have so much fun!

We will eat the remainder of the icky Chinese food tonight. Might just use soy sauce instead of the icky sweet and sour that came with.

I have been hungry all day. Tuna on english muffin. Still hungry. Not sure whats up.

DH still has swollen ankles. Sees doctor on Monday.

Back to football. Diane S
