We have crisp, sunny, calm air today. It is possibly a beach afternoon, at least for reading while DH golfs.

I am pretty much packed for Florida. One box to send via UPS. I probably could cut back a bit and stuff the remainder into our luggage, but then the bags would be super heavy. Easier to mail the box. I have done that every year that I have flown down for the season instead of driving.

DH is wound up about his house in Florida still not being sold after 4 months on the market. I had misgivings about the realtor he chose at the outset but he has had a long relationship with her as his property manager. He knows he may have to bite the bullet and get someone else.

Time to walk Justice at the beach - he is watching for any movement that possibly could be leading to that. Have a sunny Sunday!

LOL, Justice on walk alert! Yes, 4 months seems like a long time. Is October a big time for people to start looking for their snowbirds home? Are there people in your association who live there year round?

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, my favorite part is when the family is gathering because of the "crisis" and Ian's parents are in the group.

Relaxing morning, we don't need to leave for the airport until 1:00 pm.

Today I'm tired of Wegovy. I'm eating so little, struggling with protein, losing so slowly. The low calories are leaving me fatigued. I'll keep going, because I simply couldn't budge the scale without it, no matter how hard I tried, and I really did try, including Weigh****chers. I know it probably sounds crazy when so many people would give anything to have access to this medication. I guess what it boils down to is none of this, surgery, medication, is the "easy way". Haha, the easy way would be to have a very healthy metabolic system!

Yeah, wouldn't it be nice if our metabolism wasn't what it is!

Best times to sell are spring before the snowbirds leave and fall when they are looking for a place for the upcoming season. Unfortunately the interest is falling rather than increasing unlike what the broker predicted. She is very passive about everything. I think 4 months on the market with only a small price decrease 1 month in is making it look very stale. Probably needs to come off for a bit, then be re-listed with a different broker IMHO.

The best part of my reset so far, has been cleaning the sugar and carbs out of my system and reducing cravings for simple carbs. My first recheck in is Tuesday. I'm experiencing some nausea and had one instance of vomiting ( I think that was acid reflux from over seasoning) , but I'm through the first four days with only white poultry, white fish, eggs and cheese. Today I added back low carb green vegetables and asparagus has never tasted so good. I am having difficulty making it to 900 calories. I found fresh eggs at an outdoor market yesterday, and they are a treat too ! This experience has helped me learn that old bad habits are easier to resume than healthy habits are to learn. Fortunately, old healthy habits can be reactivated too.

Age: 64; 5' 5"; High weight: 345; Start weight: 271 (01/05/15); Surgery weight: 218 (05/27/15); Pre-Op (-53); M 1 (-18); M 2 (-1.5); M 3 (-13.5 ); M 4 (-13); M 5 (- 8); M 6 (-12) M 7 (-5, Xmas); M 8 (- 9) Under surgeon's goal and REACHED HEALTHY BMI 12/07/15!! Your ability to reset is really inspiring!

Greetings all

Foggy day continues. I have been doing laundry, gallery banking and watched part of a football game. I've also managed to toss or stash a few things from my desk. Only about 400 pounds of junk to go.

OceanD good on you for resetting your eating and taking positive action. Nice. You are an inspiration.

Yep DD wouldn't it be nice to have a healthy normal metabolism. Naturally slim people think that fat people just stuff their faces all the time but it's just not true. Why is it so easy to gain 10 pounds in a month but impossible to lose them that fast except in the earliest stages of WLS. The 3500 calories = one pound of weight math just does not seem to work. I remember seeing a study years ago to the effect that some people will burn more calories when available. Not me. I would have survived the ice age on two crackers.

Speaking of food, I just ate a very small slice of the cake DH brought home. It was sweet of him to get it but it's a grocery store cake and not all that good. So I will have to eat bits of it and secretly dispose of what I can. Makes me think about how much of eating is social pressure; not just food pushers but the overall almost seductive lure of food at gatherings. Hmmm. And the sweet just made me more hungry so I had to eat some cheese. At least its protein.

Yeah Liz, the dogs know the signs of a beach walk. When Tesla gets out barking in the yard and won't come in, the secret weapon is to get the leash out. And yeah, Mikes house probably needs to be relisted.

I have the remainder of my crab cakes for tonight. Also a beef pot pie from the hippie grocery store which usually is quite good.

Peps hope you won big this weekend.

Cheers all. Diane S
