Last full day at DH's home prior to our trip for a week in Florida on Friday. Laundry and dog washing need to happen today. Maybe some sweeping.

I am recovering from my sinus infection but slowly. I don't feel overtly sick anymore but I am a bit less energized than normal and have been sleeping very heavy. Hopefully it will resolve by Friday when we leave. The upside of being sick was that I was not hungry at all. I could tell I had turned a corner when my appetite came back yesterday afternoon.

The furniture I had ordered for the lanai and was supposed to take a week to arrive is arriving early on Thursday. Should be fine as long as it is left in a covered area. It is teak, so water won't harm it anyway.

Everything fit into the allocated suitcases! Our big checked bag is now 47 pounds!!! I left some room in my carry on, in case it weighs heavier at the airport and we need to take a few pounds out. Anxiety about weight plagues me everywhere

So there are no lower doses of Wegovy anywhere. I have 2 of the .25 left, the starter dose. I should be on the .5, but it is on back order. I am going to save the .25 until I know I will have .5 on the way. I don't want to use them up, and then a month or 2 later start with .5. I'd rather not shock my system that way. Hopefully the shortage will ease in September and I can go at this steadily, with scheduled increases as it was meant to be.

We will be home for 7 days, and then leave for Mexico on August 2. We return on August 12, and then go to Missouri for a family reunion for DH on the 24th, return on the 27th, and then I am back at work on the 28th. Summer goes fast!!!

I ordered a big dual trash/recycle can (33"x22"x15") for my kitchen from Amazon and USPS is the deliverer. I got an email that they could not deliver it because it "wouldn't fit in the mailbox" but they'd try again. It won't fit next time either! Made me laugh. I imagine they didn't have room in the delivery car and there was no choice for that for the email.

I had to let an appliance man in this morning to install my folks' new dishwasher, but nothing else on the list for today. My neighbor is now up for their month in the house (three siblings each take a summer month with their families) and she said she would stop by to say hello. That should be a nice thing, but I am feeling anti-social at the moment! It'll be nice as they are lovely, but nice when it's over and I'm not expecting anyone else too.

Good Morning All, been awake since before 4am with a busy brain. I have been MIA as lots has been happening.

i have a new job. Reference checks should be completed today and then I will get my contract. It has been a journey- the job market is tough with most of the roles I applied for receiving over 100+ applicants. That being said I have been interviewing with recruitment agencies and receiving good feedback on my skillset. After 2 online panel interviews with upper management, I was offered an administration role. It will require me to go into the city 2 days a week but the remaining 3 will be from home. I was able to negotiate a substancial pay increase plus potential KPI bonus annually. All helps to keep us on track for retirement. So I will hand in my notice this afternoon- all being well. I expect it wont be well received but this is a good choice for my wellbeing. Onwards & upwards.

Our trip to Cairns with both my sons & youngests partner is mid August. I am looking forward to spending quality time with my boys. Making special memories

Life has been very busy between juggling job applications- I applied for over 60 in the past 3 weeks! Interviews, family and the usual stuff. Mum had an accident and has a good size wound on her leg. I have been re-dressing it twice a day as shes on blood thinners. Its a challenge. Hoping it settles soon and we can go down to every 1-2 days. I have been cooking her meals so she can keep her leg up until we can get the bleeding to ease. The drs are happy with progresss. I have been stress eating- not great but hoping I will feel a lot more relaxed once this contract is signed & my resignation submitted. I fully expect my boss to take it badly & make my remaining time there difficult.

I havent been able to catch up with what everyone has been doing but hope you are all well. I hope to be more present - working towards a better work life balance.

Congratulations on the new position! The fact that you believe your current boss will make your remaining time at the current job difficult is enough reason to seek new employment, IMO. Perhaps your boss will suggest you make your resignation immediate. That would at least save you several weeks of difficulty.

I am as prepared as I can be for reactions- uggg. I am contracted to give 4 weeks notice but have 1 weeks annual leave booked (4th week) so I expect he will try and make me come back in after trip to serve what he will deem makeup days.

I know he wont finish me early- though that would be a great option. Its well & truely time to go
