Quick post as my step-daughter is coming to visit today and staying over. Hopefully the weather will improve as it is rather foggy right now.
I was finally able to order the furniture by calling them and doing it over the phone. It actually saved me some money as I found out that the enhanced shipping I was thinking I had to pay for wasn't needed.
Time to start laundry and move stuff out of the room DSD will sleep in (and make sure there are sheets on the bed).
Have a super Saturday!

I'm lounging outside in the sun, eating lunch and watching brazen deer eat mulberries. Tonight is a fundraiser ****tail party for our non-profit. The woman planning it wanted no help and then keeps blaming us for things not going smoothly. Sigh. I'll be happy when it's over! She has threatened to leave the group. I'd love to see that come to pass.
My dad and his wife are leaving for a boat trip for several days tomorrow. Alone time for me!
The ChrisCraft boat gets delivered today! The bottom had to be rebuilt (almost sank from rot) so we've been without it since last fall. And work does not move fast in this state. While I like to look at the other boats, this one is the only one I like to ride in. So looking forward to that.
I think that's it. Off to read my book and gird my loins for the party tonight...
Turned out to be a beautiful day here, after an overcast start. I hope weather improved in your neck of the woods Liz.
CC, I know that feeling when someone threatens, well then I'll just quit, or I won't come then, and you are left thinking, oh please, oh please.
Per yesterday's discussion, I had surgical menopause at 42 (stage 4 endometriosis). Have not missed my uterus and all it's trouble making one bit.
Today DH and I went on an adventure while DD was at class. We took the commuter train up to Rockport Massachusetts. I just love this town. Not sure why I am so infatuated, but I am. I love the whole of Cake Ann, but especially Rockport. We had lunch at a popular restaurant, if you want to have dinner there, you line up before 11:30am the day you want to eat, and make your reservation. They're fill up very quickly. Lunch is a first come, first serve. They do not take names, you stand in line. Both times we've lunched there, we managed to only wait about 20minutes. But so worth the wait. They lead you to a white deck, hanging over the bluest bay, and serve the most delicious food. Lovely time.
The commuter train was fun, DH said it was like riding a school bus. The train was full of lively young people, laughing and chatting on their way to the beach. It was a little quieter on the way back, but not by much. There weren't a lot of people our age, presumably because we have cars.
I love the idea of a meet up, the easiest time for me to travel is summer, but I could do a weekend during the school year if that's what works best for everyone.
Greetings all
late check in on the iPad. Busy day doing stuff at the studio and getting another bookcase boxed up. Out of boxes now. I am seriously considering putting the training bookcase contents into laundry baskets out on the deck with tarps. And I do have some stuff to go to charity
deli roast beef tonight and a few lightly fried spuds. Portions are modest thanks to sleeve.
Dd so glad the train ride was fun. I enjoy eavesdropping on young people. It's a hoot. You are rocking your visit,
cc hope things with the boat launch go well. Sounds so fun. And maybe miss crabby will quit the group. That's what happened at our gallery - the difficult person got mad because everything was not her way so she quit. We think she was expecting us to beg her to come back, Sorry charlie. And mulberry trees result in purple bird poop on the car. That happened to me years ago when I had no garage, poop poop poop
regardless of whether we meet up here, the redwoods and corresponding beaches and trails are something everyone should see, it's almost spiritual
not much else. We will be moving junk all week for the 31st. 5 days of mess. Cheers. Dianrs
