Good morning! Should be a bit cooler today. Still sunny and humid, but not in the 90s.
We had a fun time with our friends yesterday, especially sitting on DDs deck/porch. She and her roommate joined us when they finished their work day.
DH went to the airport around 7pm to pick up our rental cat so we can drive to Amherst this morning. We were hoping to rent from an Enterprise here in the neighborhood, but they all required 4or 5pm returns. We probably won't be back by then. So tonight we'll drive to the airport, leave the car, and take the subway back to DDs apartment.
Hope this lovely summer day brings some satisfying moments!
We rent from the airport on Cape Cod (Hyannis) when we need a car because the ones in our town have the same time restrictions.
I was sick yesterday! All gone today but I had aches in my neck, a cough, a headache and chills. I am pretty sure I had a fever but it broke in the evening so I was sweating until sometime overnight. And I feel fine today. Weird, though I always have had a pretty efficient immune system. I am starting to suspect that going to PT is exposing me to things I normally wouldn't be because that is 2 quick illnesses in the last 2 weeks when it is rare for me to be sick even once a year.
Today we will be beaching again. SILs and I are working on a trip to Nashville possibly in September. Very exciting!
Have a thinking Thursday!

A busy day. After a gullywasher of a storm this morning (.82" in 40 minutes), we drove to Traverse City to meet with kitchen cabinet designers about redoing my folks' kitchen (they have kitchen envy after seeing mine). A good visit with some fun ideas. Then we stopped at the outdoor furniture store on the way home. They will match the Polywood prices For me and will deliver and assemble it for $200. Worth it to not have to worry about a semi freight truck getting stuck on our road. I have delivery ptsd from previous semi deliveries where they either have to back up down a 1/2 mile narrow road or they make me pick it up on the side of the highway where it's always too big for my car.
Now enjoying the sunshine. My folks are going to some friends for dinner and I didn't want to go. So an evening to myself!
Not much else on the schedule here. Take care all!
Greetings all
Sunny and warm by our standards. But not yet 70. Spent quite a bit of time on the phone with AKC trying to get Poppy registered. I had not bothered since she will not be shown or bred but Tesla's former co owner needs it for puposes of breeder merit award. The registration had been snarled because she was still a co owner when the pups were born but later signed over to me. Anyway, dealing with the AKC is like the government and I had to call a couple of times to get through the process. Not a user friendly web site to this old lady. Wore me out.
So I have felt cranky and out of sorts all day and I think that is why. But it's done. Then I decided to do more adulting and worked on gallery banking and took the deposit over. A trip to the hippie grocery scored some deli roast beef and a few other things.
So not much got done today on the junk moving progress. That also makes me nervous. Must forge ahead.
DD glad you are having fun. Glad there is a subway. Ditto Liz. Stay cool. CC sounds like home delivery is sketchy in your area. Ditto. Hope you got the tv sorted out and that the outdoor furniture comes soon. Worth every cent to pay them to put it together.
Gallery sales are going well. I sold 13 items this month which means my area is depleted which means I need to get busy. Don't these people know I have a floor coming?
Cheers. DianeS
Beaurocracy is difficult to navigate for all of us! Especially when supported by poor technology.
We are lucky here on Cape Cod where we are missing a lot of the heat and rain. It is definitely warmer than usual but still at least 10 degrees cooler than the rest of Massachusetts and the seabreeze helps a lot.
