What a great visit with DD and her DH! We were talking so much we forgot to take a picture! We were there for over 2 hours so ended up in a clog of traffic driving home. Boy, I do NOT miss those days commuting out of Boston. I bet we would be non-stop if our tribe were to convene. Maybe we should set a date for next year, then work out details?
Justice is much better this morning. We added back his kibble the last couple of days (soaking it until soft), so I think more fiber may have helped. He is done with the pain meds as of last night.
Time to walk on the beach with Justice. PT this morning, then probably beach this afternoon. Have a terrific Tuesday!
Next time we will definitely meet up on the Cape! I agree that a tribe meet up would be so fun!!!
My Mom was in the hospital because of fluid build up again, and went home yesterday with iPad that records her vitals somehow, 4 times a day, and does a FaceTime visit with a doctor daily. She sees a cardiologist in about 2 weeks. Current diagnosis is acute heart failure. I will go visit as soon as we get home.
We are on for Evita tonight, really looking forward to it. It's in a smallish venue in Cambridge.
We've all had our weather anomalies this summer. The global heatwave is concerning. The huge rain and snowstorms in the spring too. It's difficult to know what to expect. Maybe Minnesota with all it's fresh water is going to become the new "it" place. Sobering for sure.
So it's another hot one here in Boston. Luckily, we bought DD a countertop ice maker for Christmas. :**** cold diet Coke when needed. :)

A beautiful day here! 70 and sunny. I had lunch with my neighbor at a local golf course restaurant. The food is good, but I forgot they keep it like a meat locker in there. My teeth were chattering at one point! We both said we were going home and reading our books in the sun. I had to put a sweatshirt on to do it.
My dad and his wife were at Mayo for his checkup yesterday and today. Apparently his kidney numbers look really good. His kidney diet parameters are working: no brown sodas, 2 alcoholic drinks max per day, lots of water, no more than 4 oz of proteins per meal.
My eating has not been as stellar. Argh.
Anyway, off to bake myself outside and raise my core temperature!
In Massachusetts most restaurants don't over air condition, though food stores do. In Florida everything is over air conditioned so I have to bring a sweater/jacket with me all the time.
Greetings all
Checking in now because our gallery meeting is at 5:30 and I need to check the post office and pick up gallery cash. The Square is telling me there have been a lot of cash sales this past week. Its so nice to be able to check that on line rather than have to go there and look in a drawer.
Scrabble this am. Won two, lost one. Lost the last one by a boatload. The Shark.
CC I am with you - I hate the artificial chill of air conditioning when it's overdone. Freezing. Yet when you need it you really need it. I am spoiled by living where none is needed.
Liz glad Justice is feeling better. Beach walks are medicinal.
DD a counter top ice maker! Who knew there was such a thing. Sounds like a great idea. The heat in many cities must be murderous.
Bacon and tomatoes for dinner tonight. I got pre cooked bacon - cooking for the truly lazy. And so much for abstaining from ultra processed food. Maybe tomorrow.
Not looking forward to this meeting as it's going to be long and there may be some controversy. I am tempted to take a bottle of wine but think I will not do that. Be prepared to hear me *****ing about it tomorrow.
