Where was everyone yesterday? Only Ocean Diane and I checked in.

Today is sunny so it is likely a beach day. I am cooking tonight for the first time in a while. Healthy pizza-like casserole (no crust).

Tomorrow Mike wants to go to his house for the next few weeks but it doesn't make sense for me until Saturday. I have PT and Justice has a teeth cleaning tomorrow with his pick-up time not certain. Friday I am leaving at about 6 am to travel with SILs to Boston for SIL #1's doctor appointment, then we drive to central Massachusetts for a wedding shower and return home around 10 pm. So I would prefer to stay Thursday and Friday at my house (which is not as far down the Cape and is close to SILs). So I'm not sure if Mike will wait until Saturday or still go tomorrow.

Tine to get my exercises done. My summer cold is mostly gone thank goodness. Have a thoughtful Tuesday!

I don't know where the day went yesterday! I was going to clean my house, but my folks decided they were going to go to Ludington to a hardware store and to have lunch at House of Flavors, which I love, so I tagged along. By the time we got home I was exhausted and ended up going to bed early.

We had a storm last night (mostly wind) that knocked down a huge birch tree in the yard. Just hit the house and ripped the gutter off, but could have been much worse if it broke a few feet further down the trunk (roof, chimney, windows, porch banister...).

So my cleaning will be today. A rug that was in front of my kitchen sink on the wood floor had the latex backing break down and left a mess stuck to the floor. I have scoured the internet and tried Goo Gone, WD40, and denatured alcohol as well as an acrylic scraper (the floors are fir which is really soft) to no avail. I am about to give up and just put a new rug over it!

Tomorrow the blinds people are coming to measure for new window coverings in both houses. They are 25 years old and tired. Plus I have new windows. Hopefully he has some nice choices. The casings aren't super deep because of the double hung windows, so that limits our choices.

I think that's it for me. Off to procrastinate cleaning!

I think blinds people know how to work around narrow casings since replacement windows often end up making them that way. Good thing the tree didn't do more damage!

Greetings all

Oops I was awol yesterday. Worked at the gallery from 10 to 5 and then had errands plus dinner plus dog pills plus hair wash and dry. Thats a lot for this old lady. But it was a nice day up in Trinidad and I can see the sparkling ocean from my perch at the desk. Sold a few things. Met our new member who is quite fun so that was good. Pleasant visitors. So now there is more banking for me to do.

Today was scrabble. I lost my first two games as did my third opponent. So we both whined and then we played to a tie!! Then I picked up an asian sub sandwich and took payroll to the studio and also picked up newly fired pieces of art. Seems like a lot of running around these days. Now I need to glue my ceramic pieces on to wine stoppers. What I really want is a nap.

Birch tree attacked your house CC!! Glad it was not worse. Are they a weak tree? We have three in the back yard. And good luck with the goo on the floor. At the gallery when we first moved in we had to sand the old wood floors. Some were so gunked up with carpet goo that we had to pull up the floor boards and flip them over" But they are probably 14 inches wide so it's doable. Yep new rug may be best.

Well Liz, let Mike go on ahead if he wants to. I am with you on saving excess driving.

Ok I am going to attempt to attach a picture.
