Argh! I ordered a new TV for my living room and because our shopping is so limited here I ordered it from Samsung directly. It's one of the frame ones that looks like a painting when it's not on. When it arrived yesterday it had about 20 boot prints on the side and two giant holes where feet went in resulting in the screen being shattered. Now I have to go through the effort of re-boxing it, dragging it back out of the house so that it can be picked up and I won't get a refund for 10 days! I already had to re-order a new one, but I have very little hope that it will show up in better condition than this one.

Food was going well yesterday until I found an unopened jar of dry roasted peanuts on the shelf... there are some things I just can't control myself around and that's one of them.

Little sprinkles of rain this morning, but not nearly what we need. This area only got 1 inch of rain for the month of June, which is normally one of the rainy months. If it's not irrigated, it's brown. But it's still better than Arizona where I saw 109 predicted at my house at the end of the 10 day forecast in the worsening heat wave there. Let's hope that doesn't come to pass!

I think that's all I know for now. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

That stinks about the TV which one would think the delivery company would have noticed was fragile. Seems like you should just be able to leave it as is and they should have to package it but I know things don't always work like they should.

I mostly ate healthy last night: I had 1/2 of a tuna poke bowl. But then I had 1/2 of the gooey chocolate chip cookie the restaurant gives you with your check. After dinner the SILs, eldest DD and I went to another outdoor spot to listen to music. I think the guy was singing in his sleep so we didn't stay long.

Tonight is date night - we are going to a seafood restaurant on the Cape Cod canal. Nice views. I may get mussels.

Not much else to report - it is super muggy without much breeze. We may go to the beach for a bit just to cool off. Even Justice is like a limp noodle after our long walk.

Have a superb Saturday!

Greetings all

The sun came out today here on the foggy coast just in time to warm up the afternoon at the dog show. DH came along and we had fun with Peps and his beautiful dog. I will let him tell you how they did but Blitz is a beautiful dog beautifully presented. DH was a good sport for all the hanging around we did so I treated him to In and Out Burger on the way home. He had never had it before. Can only eat a half but yum.

So that was our day. No smashed tv here. Sorry that happened CC. We recently got a package that was crushed. A liquid supplement for our dogs water and it was smashed. Not cool.

Have a great date night Liz.

Not much else. I need a nap after sitting watching dogs all day. There were some beauties. Not much in the way of shopping though. Usually there are loads of cool leashes and all manner of dog toys. So I came home with only a couple of tie dyed shirts.

Lordy I am decrepit. Gimping around the dog show. Peps reminded me he had done 250 squats. I could not even do two. Must consider this or I am headed for the nursing home.

It was great to see you again and to meet Shrinking Nerd! (Ha, I actually remember his OH moniker!) And let's be fair about the squats - I did them after each set during my workout so I did a TOTAL of 250 over an hour.

Fitness can be achieved in baby steps. It's best to start out slowly without getting sore so you are more apt to continue. Start with walking up a ways on your street, turn around and come back home and go from there. You can go a little farther every day until you're in your happy place.

Besides, studies show that active seniors live longer.... death rates among the sedentary check it out!
