Another muggy day with a chance of showers. This weather pattern is seriously entrenched.

Justice and we had a nice walk along the beachside between rain. We walk in an area called Falmouth Heights which is lined with beaches, old and new New England seaside homes, and by a couple of restaurants. Feels like such an old Seaside community. Near DH's home there are longer stretches of beach to walk on but no village/community feel. Both are enjoyable (when it isn't raining).

We had a nice visit with friends who are taking the same cruise we took in French Polynesia, then stopped at SILs to see my nephews and niece. Amazing how fast an almost 3 year old passes from babyhood into being a person. His statements and questions (about everything) are amazing. He has learned to grab DH right away when we visit to play cars with him. Mike is such a good guy! My niece is dreading her second chemo this week and her hair is starting to fall out even though she is using a cold cap. This is a really big deal for her because she has had thick lustrous dark hair and dramatic eyebrows. Women suffer so many indignities with cancer. Loss of one's usual looks, loss of body parts, loss of control over life. So hard to contemplate. She is such a good Mom. But her son is not going to understand her feeling ill and not being able to play with him. Hopefully that is all going to be temporary and he will have her for the long-run.

This afternoon we are going to DH's home for a cookout with his daughter's families and friends. This week there are 9 people staying in the house (with one bathroom - yikes)! But first I have my 3rd PT appointment.

Have a munificent Monday!

Aargh, my post disappeared! Shoot.

Is PT helping at all yet Liz?

Today I need to go to the grocery store. Getting out of bed is hard knowing I have no cream for my coffee, but getting cream for my coffee requires getting out of bed and going to the store. Conundrum!

So I need to plan out a grocery list including stuff for Fourth of July barbecue sides. I have more cleaning to do today, and we're going out to dinner. My dad's wife's friend is staying with us and she only eats fish. We only have so many fish recipes... Then again this is the friend who was totally off meat two Fourth of July is ago, but when I made ribs she dug right in. Who knows.

Here is a before and after of my living room wall that I had redone. I love that I can see Lake Michigan from the living room now! It's not the clearest view, but so much better. And all the ugly stone, the ginormous fireplace that didn't work, and warped cabinets are gone. I can also get a TV that I might actually be able to see that fits over the fireplace. I think one of the Samsung picture frame TVs would be nice.

OK, off to get dressed and go to the store. Hope you all have a lovely day!

Greetings all

Sun is out today. It's really hot inland which means all those inhabitants will be coming to the cool Lost Coast. So gallery business will be good. Looks like the kiln firing was delayed due to holiday weekend so no new stuff today. But I have other stuff to glaze and there is always new clay.

CC I love how your house remodel turned out! Great to have windows and lake view. Wonderful job. Like Peps said it was good before but now it's super. Enjoy. And have fun with the fish guest. Will she eat shell fish? At yesterdays dinner there was a guy who is always on some eating fad and now he says he is not eating any plants. None. So his dinner was one giant steak. He is not overweight and is younger than the rest of us and is a wonderful person and not pushy or judgmental about food. I asked him if he ever felt like going outside and grazing. I think he realized it was a joke. Oh well.

Yeah Liz maybe I could eat a whole ear of corn if I did not eat a hot dog and potato salad with it. As such, half is enough.

DH scored pot pies at the deli today. Yay. Food for tonight and tomorrow.

Liz so sorry for your nieces illness and hair loss. Such a nasty side effect. Wishing her the best through this hard time. Good on Mike for being the toy car man.

The tree in our front yard is really getting big. Gotta call the tree guy.

All is quiet next door. Either they finished the floor or are celebrating the forth. Be safe all. No bottle rockets!
