Yesterday turned out to be sunny and quite warm in the afternoon. We were all hot after taking the 2 dogs for a walk at the beach. Nice visit with DH's DD and her husband.

DH is considering making some modifications to his Cape house. Maybe making the first floor bedrooms larger and adding a bathroom (it only has one currently). He previously had said he was done doing anything on that house so this is a surprise. It would be much more functional with 2 bathrooms. The construction would probably keep the ex from wanting to come back so maybe she would find a place rather than staying with a friend. Or maybe she would stay there until she retires in a couple of years? It would be better for all if she worked on a plan for her future.

Today is supposed to be rainy all day. I have my physical therapy assessment for my shoulder(s) this afternoon so at least I won't be missing the sun. Hopefully there is enough of a break to get Justice out. He absolutely refuses to go out when it is really pouring so he peed this morning on the bathroom floor. At least he knows what room is appropriate!

Time to finish coffee and get moving somewhat. Have a terrific Tuesday!

Haha, smart Justice! I hope PT gives you some expanded mobility for your shoulder. One PT clinic I went to had a list of Top Ten Things Not to Say to Your Physical Therapist: A few of my favorites: Don't cry, it just encourages us, Don't say this is easy, we'll just make it harder, and don't say I lost count, we'll make you start at 1. Funny, because there's an element of truth :)

It turned out there was A LOT to see at the Intrepid Museum. DH was so happy, getting his fill of every little thing. I enjoyed it too, but took the opportunity to sit and people watch, gaze at the skyline etc when it came to the more obscure displays. In one room, there was a set of benches close to the door. I told DH he should take his time, look around, I'd wait there. By the time he came back, there were 4 other wives sitting by me, doing the same. :)

Today we have tickets to Some Like it Hot. If it doesn't rain (it rained a lot yesterday) we were going to hang out in Central Park today.

Oh, DH performed another miracle. It was so noisy in here. He examined the windows and discovered one was slightly ajar (even though they are inoperable) and some weather stripping was out of place, and he finagled things back into place. Yeah! The window had been essentially open, now closed, it is much, much quieter.

LOL on museum going. Deceased DH used to love reading and seeing EVERYTHING. I would get so bored. In his last few years he couldn't read or focus a lot so we enjoyed museums so much more together. Mike and I seem to be more on the same wavelength on visiting them (we might go to the JFK Library and Museum tomorrow but if not, later in the summer). We both are looking forward to that.

There is some kind of Aviation Museum in every single city in the world, I swear! As far as I know, DH has now toured 3 different aircraft carrier ships turned into museums. Last summer in Charleston, I stayed at the hotel while he toured one. I told him he would have more fun without me. :)

I am back home. I have not slept well for two nights. Not sure why, but at least I went to bed early enough last night and slept until 8 this morning, so I feel rested after a 5 night dog show! Driving 600 miles in the RV is tiring. Dog showing is exhausting. Blitz and Molly were pretty zonked last night. I was, too, frankly.

Got on the scale this AM to find I had maintained my weight over the trip with really less than stellar eating! Luckily, I find myself filling up on protein lately more than carbs. I think that must be helping with maintaining because I'm still eating my fair share of sweets.

At the dog shows I hung out with one of my dog friends who has been doing the CARNIVORE diet. She's lost a boat load of weight and she is fully immersed into the cultish culture of the carnivore diet philosophy. She is a recovering alcoholic and ex smoker... so her zeal for this new found answer to the universe is not unusual. She LOL! But there is absolutely no arguing that she has lost a lot of weight and looks pretty good. Another one of our friends thinks she looks sickly. I don't think she does. What cracked me up is that the carnivore diet lady was pushing for ALL of us to join her in her carnivorous eating habits. She extolled the virtues of eating bacon and steak and butter and the healing properties of eating such a diet - she even believes it can cure cancer.... Interestingly, one of the main medical proponents of this type of eating lost his medical license in 2016 before having it reinstated (with supervision) in 2019. Also, no blind studies or long term studies have been done to prove any of these types of claims. My guess is that the weigh loss happens much the same way a KETO diet works. You fill up on protein and fat which fills you up and holds you longer resulting in an overall calorie deficit.

Diane mentioned that i was having a good dog show weekend. That is very true. Blitz did very well, as did Molly. Blitz placed in the Owner Handled group all three days and placed in the regular group (against all the professional handlers) Saturday and Sunday. He even placed over the #6 terrier in the country both of those days. That was quite something! The results were well worth the 600+ mile drive - though the expense in gas is debatable!

Should go visit with Dad today, but most of the day will be devoted to cleaning, laundry, and washing and trimming dogs....

Shirl, hope you are feeling better ASAP! The last bug I had took a while for the last vestiges to say so long!

Liz, I think the weather is weird all over this year. We are having lower than average temps. But at least, not much in the way of rain.

Diane S., hope the new neighbors are good 'uns!

DD, safe travels! So glad you are enjoying your first leg in NYC!

CC, so great you found someone you like and trust to watch the new digs while you are away!

Ocean Diane, so cool that you are becoming a guardian ad litem! Not an easy gig, but so needed! Kudos!

Terrific Tuesday to all!

I am in computer printer hell !! I have been removing and re-adding my printer for months because my computer tells me the printer is off line and not available. This time, my computer can't even FIND the printer to add it . I need a reliable printer/scanner, especially now with these court reports. I trouble shot all of my tricks yesterday and today, and I'm done. I unplugged it, put it in the garage, and ordered a new one. Anybody need HP 67 ink ?

I'm beginning to think printers need to be sprinkled with holy water or saged, they have bad energy most days!

I got an Epson EcoTank printer because I was tired of buying ink. No trouble at all with wifi and the a/v guys were shocked as they said it's the rule and not the exception that printers Have trouble connecting to networks.

I have the Epson ET-3760 printer and it is phenomenal! No connectivity problems EVER! And boy, oh boy, is the ink economical! We have gone through more than 4 reams of paper and still have plenty of ink! That's over 2,000 pages.
