This week is a week of muggy, cloudy air and periodic showers. But maybe not a washout. The weather pattern in June for Massachusetts has not been good. Florida hasn't been great either as they have had about a foot of rain this month, way beyond the norm.

Today is the only day I don't have appointments so we are probably going out to see DH's DD and her husband at DH's Cape house. We will take Justice with us to take a walk and to reacquaint him with their dog. Last time they met, Brandy was a young puppy and a bit overwhelming for Justice but she has calmed down a lot now that she is a couple of years old.

Not much else to report. Time to plan the day. Have a mindful Monday!

You are busy: good busy!

Yes, the Ex moved out in January because the single bathroom was redone between January and May. She is still having her mail delivered there so there is potential that she will go back for the winter after we leave in early October. DH did make it clear to her that she can't be there between May 15-October 15 so it would behoove her to get her own place (she seems to be staying with a friend). He said she hasn't paid any rent in the past but he will require it if she returns. We shall see.

Last summer when we stayed in Ipswich, it was so hot in Massachusetts. This year, I packed a lot of lightweight clothes for our mid July stay in Boston. Weather is so unpredictable these days. I read that warming ocean waters are causing changes in the jet stream. Weather patterns that would have just passed through get jammed up and linger, giving torrential rains and flooding in some cases, and drought in others.

So Ocean Diane, you liked the church you visited? Last night DH and I were talking about attending Mass more regularly. We loved our church and felt at home there for many years (it's actually the church my DH grew up attending) but there have been a lot of changes in the past 10 years, and we don't fit so well anymore. Maybe time to seek a new church home ...

It's 9:30am, and DH is still sleeping. I don't know how. I always say my hearing is my super power, developed to compensate for my very poor vision. Anyhow, I've been quietly reading since 7am, don't want to disturb him.

We are going to tour the Intrepid Aircraft Carrier today. DH wanted to see it on our previous trips, but it didn't work out. So today's the day at last. I'm not interested in such things, but I'll go along, look at what I want to see, then sit on the outdoor deck and read until DH gets his fill. It's on the water, so I'll enjoy just hanging out there.

Might try to find some live music tonight ...

I met with the woman who is going to check on my house while I'm away. I loved her! So knowledgeable and nice. She's been doing this a while and watches my neighbor's house. She'll come once a week to flush toilets, make sure the a/c and fridges are working, check for insects/rodents, look for leaks, etc. She takes pictures and sends a weekly report. Made me feel good about leaving a house that's in a much more hostile climate than CA!

And while I had to call Kohler for my shower, I got it fixed. Woohoo! I had to sit on the screen porch for the cables to reach where they needed to go and it's 95 degrees, so that wasn't fun, but I did it. Satisfying.

Aside from feeling somewhat bulbous due to less than stellar eating, I'm good. I hope you all are too!

Greetings all

It's been a super busy day for me. Stopped at bank to pick up small bills, CVS to get my favorite on sale coffee, studio to pick up new art, gallery to drop off art and small bills and jewelry boxes plus pick up funds for deposit and unsnarl petty cash, post office for gallery mail and grocery for us to eat. Whew thats a lot for this old lady in one day.

Yay my sweet peas are starting to bloom Two colors so far. I wondered why one of the pots did to not seem to be growing but I think it's a dwarf variety. oops I prefer the tall climbing ones.

Liz glad you are home. And DD you are off! Ditto CC. You guys don't sit still for long. CC glad you have a good house checker. Nice and also necessary.

A new neighbor has moved in. Not met him but sure can hear his contrition projects.

Chicken tenders for tonight.

Hello lovely Tribe

Popping in to mark my 6 year surgiversary - without a weigh in yesterday - hows that for classic head in the sand. I own it

Would you believe I am still sick - seriously beyond frustrated. The sore throat, headaches, aches n pains have gone but the congestion and night cough remains. I dont think I have ever had a bout like this one. I have been laying as low as possible and getting as much rest as I can. I have finished the antibotics and going to sit tight and see if my body can shift the remaining bugs.

Went to the farm last weekend. We got 18 gum trees in and I got 75% of the mowing done. Its been super cold up there. We are back up this weekend to get more achieved. Picking up some fencing materials as next project is fencing off the dam. Thats a big one. Cows are so gorgeous yet so destructive. I had the pots of established gums sitting in my ATV and one of the heifers decided she would come along and chomp one right in half - grrrrr - helpful - not !

Not a lot more to report. DH didnt go to Germany and got back from a short trip to Brisbane last Wednesday. I have some big decisions to make regarding my work. Lots of internal struggles at present but I need to start making myself a priority and allowing myself to not feel guilty for doing so! Easier to type than execute..... Watch this space

I hope you are all well and Im going to try and get back to posting. Lots happening at present

So sorry you are still sick! Your body must be telling you that you need to rest (which is difficult for you).
