Summer is my favorite season. I like it warm and humid (not hot). Low 80's is my favorite. A breeze at the beach is ideal. Aruba is close to perfect though it is a little too warm during the day.

DH and I had a nice dinner out with just the 2 of us at a restaurant overlooking the water. The decor is white and cobalt blue. The tablecloths are white with blue glasses and all the wait staff wear cobalt blue shirts with white pants. Afterwards we went to a piano bar and listened to the singer who wasn't the best but was still fun to listen to. Late night for us (around 11:30).

Today we are back to the usual early morning walk and hanging around on the beach for the day. Not plans for dinner yet. Only 3 nights left - we are ready to go. Too much being away from home.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Happy summer ! We are slated for warm days and afternoon storms as we watch a named tropical storm and another tropical depression grow. I finally broke down and purchased a dog grooming brush/vacuum and Sadie LOVES it. I vacuum every other day with my big vacuum, and use the Eufy alternate days. I can't believe the fur I gather !! I don't want to mess with her undercoat, as she needs it for her water adventures.

What a great idea for a dog with longer shedding hair. I never knew they existed! Not much need for an extremely short-haired chihuahua even though I do see Justice hairs on me when I wear black.

One has to wonder how come our labs aren't actually bald, the amount of hair is phenomenal. I still find the occasional Bella hair, and she's been gone six years now. :(

Not that i have been posting with regularity lately, but wanted to let you all know I'm off again to yet another dog show. LOL! This time we are driving up to Oregon. I came to my senses and decided to make it a two day trip up. I just didn't want to spend 12 hours driving tomorrow. I will go half way this afternoon and then the rest of the way tomorrow.

I'm getting kind of handy with the RV. The generator wouldn't start, so I put gas in the RV tank (generators often will not run with less than a 1/4 tank of gas), but that was not the answer. So I started "dicking" around by checking air filters, oil level, and fiddling with some buttons, tabs, and finally connections. It was the resetting the connections that did the trick and the generator is firing up and running beautifully.

Weight is stable. Can't ask for more than that right now.

I am glad to be getting away from friends and sibling. Aunty Kathryn is completely losing her sh*t over her puppy situation and is being just plain nasty to everyone - even those of us helping her. After she texted me, "Everyone can just f*ck off and die" when I was trying to help and soothe her because one of the pups wasn't taking the bottle well, I was done. BFF is also feeling a bit emotional with Lulu at his house because she's a "little girl" and she reminds him of his recently departed Rosie. Dad is being super forgetful, which I don't mind at all. It's part of the process, but my brother still expects him to remember stuff like appointments. Brother texted me with frustration that, "...Dad forget his PT appointment so I had to get him from teh dining room. I told him last night at 8PM he had PT today." My response: WTF???? Why do you expect him to remember? Just go a few minutes early so you can collect him from where ever he might be. UGH....

Adios muchachas!

Yes, run away, take a break, even people you love can wear you down. Last year I ran away for almost the whole summer. It was glorious. This trip will have us somewhat inaccessible for 4 weeks. Yeah!

They should have RV merit badges like they do for scouting! Lots to learn.

All that cobalt and blue next to the ocean, sounds perfect!

I did my long haul to get my hair done by my niece. We decided to blonde it up for summer. It's pretty bright! Hopefully not too blonde. Anyhow, she'll put some lowlights in this fall for fall hair. Right now I'm wearing summer hair.

When I got home, DH and I went for a late lunch/early dinner at one of our standard patios. It was 92 degrees, but with some shade and breeze.

In Minnesota we love to say, it's not the heat, it's the humidity. Subtropical climate in the summer, subartic in the winter. The first time we went to Vegas it was 110. I was fine by the pool in shade, but out on the street was tough. The 90s after the sun went down felt decent. I agree with Diane S, a damp cold is really the worst. Eats right through you ...

Resting a bit as I digest my salad. I always bring home food, and usually plan what I'm ordering based on how it will hold up as leftovers. DH has started with doggy bags because of the Wegovy. It's a new thing for him. He has lost about 18 pounds in 11 weeks, without too much in the way of side effects or feelings of deprivation. His doctor is optimistic he will lose quite a bit more. She did tell him he could take a week or two off for vacation. We both will, it's not about eating more (I hope we don't) , but more so concerns about gastro intestinal upsets while traveling. That would not be good.

Chipping away at my packing.

Greetings all

Yay for summer! Is today the solstice? Long day so enjoy.

DH went to lunch and brought home mexican food. So no cook again. I was hungry just now and discovered a few bites of steak from last night. Hit the spot. It would be a good idea to maintain little protein bites like that but it would involve planning.

Speaking of planning, yay Peps on RV maintenance. Whats that old book, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance? In this century its RV maintenance. Glad you are getting away from the people who are energy vampires for the moment. On your way to Portland? Have fun and win big.

Cobalt blue and white sand. Perfect. Enjoy beach people!

Vacuum for Sadie! What a good idea. years ago my friend with a horse used to vacuum her horse - a common thing. Then one day she showed up with her arm in a sling and all bandaged. When asked what happened, she said "I tried to vacuum my cat". The cat did not like it and bit her and it absessed. So vacuum dogs and horses but not cats! I don't think my dogs would put up with it but Ocean D I am glad it's working for you. (CC, of course, uses vacuum on scorpions)

DD summer blond! I say enjoy it.

Today I put all the stuff together for our taxes. It's under extension and I have been putting it off. Will turn it in tomorrow.

Not much else. Looking forward to mexican food soon. Diane S

LOL on the cat - I looked up those pet vacs on Amazon and a lot of them showed pictures of cats. DS's cat would freak out like you friend's did.
