Last night we tried a new restaurant recommended by locals as having the best burgers. Not so good... very dry. I skipped the bun and only ate a part of it so I guess that was a plus.
Tonight is DD and her BF's last night here. Saturday flights out are so expensive right now that everyone is leaving on a Thursday or Friday. Our former neighbors are leaving today. But we have another 9 days before we make the trek back home. We will be back on Cape Cod for essentially the rest of the summer so Justice can have some stability. Yesterday I think he went to the same sitter he stayed with once a week when we did our long trip. He does enjoy it there romping around in the yard with the other pups.
Time to do the daily sunscreen and put on the bathing suit (usual daytime attire). Have a thriving Thursday!
Good morning ! I'm back among the living ! I regained half of the seven pounds I lost when I was dehydrated ! I obviously didn't drink any alcohol for over a week, when I was sick. I notice a huge increase in energy and clarity. I have absolutely NO DESIRE for alcohol, and am going to take advantage of this opportunity for a hiatus ! I did a thing yesterday. My Subaru Forester was six years old and had significant dings from run ins with mailbox posts, parking lot posts and the side of the garage door. I didn't want to have them fixed and increase insurance premiums. I Googled safe, small SUVs for senior citizens with great resale value, and Subaru Forester and Honda CR-V were at the top of the list. My very first car was a Honda Civic, so I stopped in at the dealership five minutes away, while driving to the Subaru dealership twenty-five minutes away. Long story short, I found a Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport !! They gave me a great trade in allowance and solid deal. Driver assistance features would have help avoid all of my "incidents". 40 MPG city while running around town on electric, and it switches over to gas as needed, which recharges the electric. When you get older, heated steering wheels and seats and intuitive design are NOT luxuries ! Sadie and I love it !! It is meteorite grey with light grey leather.
I am so grateful for ongoing discussions of impact on childhood obesity on adult stinkin thinkin ! CC, sounds like your showplace home will be even more magnificent when we visit in person ! Liz, love the plan to co-own timeshare with DD. Shirl, LOVE how cute you look in your stunning costume ! Hope DH gets his trip sorted out fast ! DD, sounds like you are off to a healthy, relaxing, productive summer ! Peps, you are making great strides in making peace with your body ! Diane S, sounds like you'll have a sorted out home shortly !

A Honda CRV is a great car. I wasn't using mine enough to justify keeping it but it was a perfect size, reliable and rode well. Enjoy!
Liz, your plans sound great, enjoying Aruba, and then an extended time at "home". You've had such adventures, having time to regroup before the next ones sounds great.
Today's plan is to go work out and then come home and get serious about some packing, organizing.
Today is my Wegovy shot day. As the week goes on, the appetite suppression begins to lessen. Yesterday DH grilled hot dogs for dinner. I served myself 1, thinking I probably won't be able to fini**** Certainly couldn't over the weekend, but I did last night. Continues to be an interesting journey. I have 2 doses of the .5, and then I have to drop back to .25. There was no .5 or 1.0 available! I'm okay with it, I probably won't loss much during July, but, I think I will for sure maintain. If I was paying out of pocket though, I'd be very unhappy about having to step down in dose...
Well, hot damn.... the weight continues to slip away - ounce by ounce, though. Not pound by pound! LOL! After a brief jiggle upward, I'm back down to my lowest weight in recent history. Must keep on doing the self monitoring, etc... so that a few more additional pounds come off....
Liz, enjoy the rest of your Aruba time. I think it's great that you and DD will now share Aruba. What a nice family legacy to continue! Ocean Diane, CONGRATS on the new vehicle! My dad's GF has the same CRV and loves it! I seriously considered it before buying the Subaru Outback. CC, so glad you had a great time with the designer. Can't wait to see the final results. Diamond Diane, very interesting how the Wegovy intensity seems to subside as the week goes on. I hope it continues to be effective for you and gets you where you want to be. Diane S., Yay for new floors. I think you will be very happy you got it done. And Shirl, that red car is absolutely wonderful! You are a "crafty" little devil! LOL!
Off to groom a client dog!
The holy grail! Slow weight loss without hours of mental devotion to tracking, dieting etc. Hope it continues!!!
I feel more hopeful about this med than any others I've tried. I'm not aiming to be "thin" again, but I do want to get back to where I was before cancer. I was a little chubby, but I could shop wherever and it was easy to maintain.

The bug guy came this morning and sprayed inside. Hopefully deterring scorpions and roaches, the latter I've only found a few dead in the house, but still ew! I think of them as dirty house bugs and here they are just part of living in rural AZ. Can't make peace with that. They aren't the fast German kind that really do like dirty houses, but still. Blech.
Off to my yarn bombing event. The set up was yesterday, so today is just the party part. Don't think I will stay long, but I don't want to be a party pooper even though ever cell in my body says I want to skip!
Aside from that, not much going on here!
Take care everybody!
