Greetings all
It was sunny here for about an hour. Or at least it was in Arcata when I was at the studio. I did some glazing as I was not feeling especially creative. Then I recycled all the bottles that I had laying around and in the car. Big accomplishment. That was my decluttering though there is loads more to do.
Yeah Peps, this carpet is 30 years and three litters of puppies old. It will be great to have it gone even though I am totally stressing about the project. Glad yours is done. Sorry Lovey got nipped. Not cool. My Tesla is sort of Cujo so I keep her away from even her puppies except Poppy who holds her own. Hope to see you at Ferndale.
Ocean Diane so sorry you got the bad bug. Glad you were able to get some medical help. Hoping you are back to 100% soon. Hope you had some help. Scary to be alone and sick.
Enjoy the memorial Liz. Sounds like a great person who will indeed be missed.
CC glad the water usage is improving. Surely there are services to monitor your house while you are away as there are lots of people there who leave in the summer. Lots to be checked on.
Shrimp fried rice tonight. Not exactly low carb but it's heavy on shrimp and veggies.
I am pleased that my climbing rose in the back is in heavy bloom. Last year it was so huge and heavy that it fell over and was bent to the ground. I had a landscape guy cut it way back but I was not sure it would survive or bloom again. It's an old rose called "Leander". Now I need to get some hooks into the shed it's supposed to climb so it will stay upright.
DD love your reports on Wygovy. I am thinking of doing something like that. But cripes, why don't I just stop eating carbs (yeah we know the answer to that one). Anyway glad it's working well for you.
Well the clothes won't put themselves away. Cheers. Diane S
I am a terrible gardener but I think roses need to be cut back/pruned to stay healthy and have blooms? The house I grew up in had climbing roses on the rail fence in front of the house and they were stupendous a lot of years while my father was taking care of them. My mother neglected them after he died and they eventually did too.
Good Morning All
Popping in quickly. Back at work after a busy but family filled weekend. It was nice to spend time with all the kids and grandkids but man was I tired!
Hoping for a quieter week but think I may be "dreaming" Have Chiro tonight - rescheduled from when I had that virus the other week. We are waiting to hear if DH is going to Germany on Friday - seriously! Nothing like last minute. Apparently we should hear today. That will give him 3 days to prepare and pack whilst working. Have the Trivia night on Friday after I have picked up the boys. Im hoping my DIL has organised the sitter to be available in enough time for me to actually get ready. I need to work on finishing the Big Red Car too over the next few nights. Cut and Colour booked for Thursday after work
Im thinking the weekend will be a potter one at the city house. I need to get some things organised and should start sorting cupboards and downsizing. I am putting it off.
Liz - A lovely way to remember your friend. I think he would have loved that. Have a wonderful time in Aruba and hope Mike feels better soon
Cec - Thats great news about the water savings. It sure adds up. When do you leave for MI? So glad your Dad is feeling a lot better. How is your Stepmom?
Diane O - Oh that sounds dreadful - you poor thing. Be kind to yourself and heal well my friend
Diane S - Good luck with the sorting in prep for new flooring. Its always a job that snowballs I think
DD- Sounds like you are enjoying your summer break well :)
Peps - sorry to hear about Lovey. Im glad you are having a quieter day - well deserved
Well I had best keep going - somehow its made it to 11.15am - the day is flying
Take care all
S
