Another grey day. It is 50 right now and won't get much warmer. Aruba (or Florida) are looking very attractive right now.
Today I have my appointment with the orthopedist about my shoulder(s). I made it plural as I also have some problems (though much less) with my left shoulder and with my neck though the latter might be related to the shoulder issues. I expect this to be a lengthy process where we consult today and do an X-ray. I get an MRI whenever that can be scheduled. I come back to get the results. We possibly try something non-invasive first then find out that won't work. After 17 years with a shoulder problem somehow I don't expect a quick fix. At this point it will probably be late summer and I won't want to do it just before Florida. DH says if I need something major maybe I should do it early next summer, but at that point I need to be getting my Cape house ready to sell. I have lots of excuses...
Not much to look forward to this week. This appointment, a funeral 1.5 hours away on Wednesday and grey skys in between. Maybe the weather will fool us and improve earlier than expected.
Have a moody Monday!

My dad's wife had rotator cuff surgery. I think I would get it out of the way as the recovery is long and you will never find a good several month stretch where you don't have something... Hope you get good news.
Speaking of my dad's wife, she called at 6am to tell me my dad is back in the hospital with a clogged stent. And there was no one to change it. So they just drugged him and said they would change it in the morning. He just has the one limited-function kidney!! And the backup is endangering it. Claudia was fit to be tied and not nice about it to them. They took him in to change it this morning. Praying it's not damaged by the wait. ps - no good comes from a 6am phone call.
Normally I like the Informed Delivery emails telling me what's coming in today's mail. Unfortunately today it's a letter from the CA tax board and I have 4 hours to worry what it's about.
So heightened anxiety today. Ugh.
Hope you all have good days!
I'm with Claudia! Definitely unacceptable with your fathers issues.
Hopefully the tax letter is just an informative thing.

Thankfully it was! I almost never file returns with refunds (always owe), but this year with the move and overpaying estimated taxes because of the house, I got a CA refund so they were checking that it wasn't fraud. Also, when (on the off chance) I get refund, I usually roll it forward for my first quarterly estimated taxes... Since I will not owe them again, it's a deposit into my bank.
If a major fix is coming for your shoulder, I hope there is also some temporary intervention that can give you some relief in the meantime.
CC, so infuriating that your Dad's care was postponed! Glad your step mom was there to do a Terms of Endearment scene on them.
Weather here continues to be very summerlike. Humid even. I don't mind.
DH is calling me for dinner. He has made tacos. Sounds good to me. :)
Greetings all
It started out sunny here but is grey now. Foggy season is not supposed to start until later in the summer but whatever.
This morning DH was busy watching Apple having one of its product update events. They announced a new virtual reality item. I can't fathom what I would do with such a thing but I fear he is going to want one. Not any time soon. They start at #3500.
Visit to the studio to pick up new items (owls) and make more things. It was pretty quiet. Then on for a grocery stop where I scored a pot pie. Also some deli salmon. We are set for a few days.
I talked to my bother for quite awhile yesterday. He is pretty bummed out about his health and is working on a new will. Not fun to talk about but I can be of help. It kind of gave me some energy to get back to my new flooring project that I have put off. If not now, when? I keep sending him pictures of the ocean view out the gallery window to entice him to visit.
CC the CA tax dept is off the wall pretty often in my experience. My mother in Nebraska got a letter from them demanding she file a CA tax return because she had one investment that was a CA business. Of course I wrote them a dissertation about how they were worng. And Gallery just got a letter from them about doing withholding on our non ca resident payees. Guess what, we don't have any of those. Waste of effort. Glad you got good news.
Liz best wishes on the shoulder. Hoping it can be fixed with something like a cortisone injection..
And CC a pox in that hospital for delaying your dad.
DD wishing you some lazy summer days. Ditto Peps.
