It is a dank and dreary day after a couple of gorgeous summer-like days in Massachusetts. Mike's Cape house really isn't a cozy place to be unlike my own. I am leaving in a few hours to meet SIL and drive to my niece/her daughter-in-law's birthday party in Cental Massachusetts. I hope it won't be raining there but it will be cold. I may stay at my own Cape house on the way back to skip an hour of the driving today.
My shoulder does not seem to be improving even with aspirin and rest. The other sore joints are better but not my arm. Very nervous about my appointment with the orthopedist Monday though I expect that it will take a while to figure out the next steps. At minimum I am going to need an MRI.
Justice seems to be feeling some after effects from his Lyme vaccination. I can't remember if he did last time though I know that he had a reaction to some vaccine. Hopefully he will perk up later.
Time for more coffee. Have a satisfying Saturday!
Good that you got Lyme vaccination for Justice. When we had our Bella, this vaccination was still new, and not used widely. Bella got Lyme disease when she was 6years old. We couldn't believe it, since she was a dog who loved being in the house, and took her walks on sidewalks. Normally, antibiotics treat it, but Bella was in the unlucky 1% who got irreversible kidney disease as a complication. The complication was fatal. We were able to get top notch care because my Dad and the vet he sold his clinic to didn't charge us. They prolonged her life for a bit, but then we had to let her go. Because it turns put there is a lot of Lyme disease in our area, the vaccination is now protocol.
Liz, it is true, the shoulder thing does not sound good. But whatever has to be done, you'll face it, because you clearly can't go on like this.
Off to our breakfast meet up in a little while. Time to get dressed after lazing in bed for an hour.
Poor Bella. Yes one day of discomfort for Justice is worth it. Lyme is extremely prevalent here too.

Lots of smoke here from controlled burns up towards Flagstaff. You can't leave the windows open when they are doing this, the stench is too much. But it's good for the forest, so...
I really had the munchies yesterday and the scale shows it. All keto friendly, but not "healthy keto" really and likely high in calories.
Good luck with your shoulder, Liz!
Take care everybody!
Can't be perfect every day (but some of us aka me need to work at it at least some days).
Greetings all
Just got back from gallery duty. Lots of visitors and some sales. My friend that has one of the puppies came by so that was fun. Otherwise it was counting bills and figuring out cash drawer. A few peculiar people but most were nice.
Steak for dinner tonight. Leftover from two nights ago. Yay no cooking.
Another gallery shift tomorrow so my day is planned. Plus studio buddy is coming by so we can help her buy a plane ticket. She is flummoxed by web sites and usually uses a travel agent. So we have to help her with United airlines. Their site it actually pretty easy to use. Oy vey.
Not much else. Dogs fed - well I think Poppy ate both dishes but whose fault is that? Yeah Lyme disease is bad. Reminds me Tesla needs some shots.
Liz get that shoulder fixed. My friend and I were commiserating today about how our ailments interfere with our art. Me: hands, her: shoulder.
Yep keep the windows closed CC. No need for smoke. I will say that our big Air Oasis air purifier does a good job with smoke but best to not let it in.
DH is deep into a sci fi movie. So I get to enjoy a glass of wine before I have to start taking care of others. My brother needs a phone call and another friend has a very sick dog in addition to her own cancer. Guess I am lucky.
