First Day in June 2023
Dead to me is a fun series though I didn't love the last season as much. But it was probably physically tough for Christina Applegate to do.
Yes, birds chirping in the spring and the smell of lilacs are heaven!
It is alligator and sea turtle mating season and alligators are very protective of their nests. It is important not to disturb turtle nests, as mom's lay eggs and return to the sea. Babies are on their own. In an inlet, there is so much shore/nesting area and not a lot of open water far from land.

Liz, good you are going to have your shoulder evaluated. Anytime something hurts enough to disrupt sleep on more than one occasion needs to be treated.
OceanDiane, I have not made it out in the Kayak yet this season. Also longing to go. I see Paula has posted pictures of her kayak adventures.
CC how awesome you enjoyed lunch with a new friend and felt okay navigating the food. Win Win.
Diane S., we loved Dead To Me for the first 2 seasons. I started the third, but kind of lost interest. Not sure why. Maybe I should go back and revisit it.
So my Mom is in the hospital. I am actually relieved. She had a ridiculous amount of edema when I saw her this weekend. I wanted to take her to Urgent Care, but she said she would discuss it at PT on Tuesday. Rather than PT, she ended up in the ER, and was admitted. They originally thought heart, but does not seem to be the case. There was an echo cardiogram, and it looked like heart function was in the acceptable range. She is staying a 2nd night. She has had low kidney function for years, but I haven't heard that this has concerned them. Anyhow, she is safe right now from falls, and all the other things I worry about: principally their poor judgement. I feel like we are nearing the end of the road as to how much longer they can care for themselves ...
I don't know why we didn't get around to doing TSA pre chec****il now. The only hard part is we had to drive 30 miles in rush hour traffic. The appointment itself took about 10 minutes. It will be very convenient for our travels this summer.
Wegovy: I've used it for 1 month. Total weight loss, 4.4 pounds. A weight loss in the past I could have managed quite well on my own. But not since starting Tamoxifen. I've tracked and dieted, to no avail. Without some pharmaceutical help, its too hard for me to keep my calories under 1,200 day after day, with such slow loss. So I am very grateful. I am taking the next step up in dose tonight. If the appetite suppression gets stronger, I am hoping to drop to 900 calories. I can't manage that yet.
From my reading on Facebook groups, Wegovy weight loss is all over the place. People blasting off weight as though they've had surgery, people not losing for the first several months. People with brutal side effects, people with very few. I am in the very few camp right now. Hope it continues. I'll take a slow rate of loss over nausea and diarrhea any day.

I'm sorry your mom ended up in the hospital! My dad and I struggled a lot with my mom at the end. When they are lucid enough to speak for themselves and make their own medical decisions and stubborn enough not to want help, it's a terrible rock/hard place situation. I hope your mom is more compliant. Actually entering the hospital puts her well ahead of my mom!
So even though it hasn't been rocket-like weight loss it sounds like the Wegovy is working for you. Too bad the pharmacy companies want to make so much money off of it.
