Last day here! Though I miss my doggie and family in some ways I wish we'd planned to stay a bit longer. Now that everything is put away it feels a bit like a vacation home. Plus I am anxious to start the phase of making changes. For instance, I want to take the off-white sleep sofa in our second spare bedroom and move it to the living room, then move one of the LR club chairs to the bedroom. The idea is to have a lighter colored furniture piece in the LR, but also to add a real bed to the spare room so we have 3 full bedrooms. I will post a video of what the place looks right now at on TT in a bit.

So, I have been aching a lot especially my right shoulder which I have had problems with for years but got almost non-functional after the move. I did take ibuprofen a bit but backed off because it is bad to take when one already has HBP (and also not good after bariatric surgery). I did some research and discovered that aspirin does not have the same effect on HBP, so I am taking the suggested dose for osteoarthritis for a few days. After just 2 I feel like my body is back to its normal. My right arm still isn't 100% but it hasn't been for 15 years. I am taking coated aspirin with food so hopefully it won't mess up my stomach. I also don't plan to take it long-term, but just to get over this immediate hump. I am going to make an appointment with a shoulder physician and also see my cardiologist in a month.

Not much else to report. Have a tremendous Tuesday!

I'm sure after all of your travels, staying in one place will feel so relaxing!

I have PT in an hour, so I'll make this brief.

Yesterday I finished my Treasurer's report and sent that off. I am going to suggest we put some chunks of our savings into short term CDs. The 9 month one at our bank is paying 5.2%. Our savings account rate is 0.03%. If we do small chunks every month for a few months, we would have something maturing every month.

Food was still on track yesterday and I the scale was up 1.2 pounds! Well and truly a stall. Oh well, my shirts feel like they are fitting better, so maybe it's time to check some measurements instead (my pants have always pretty much fit, I carry my weight on my top half unfortunately).

DianeO, I saw what your storms did to a cruise ship off South Carolina! What a mess! Glad you weathered it well.

I better skedaddle...

Liz your new place is a dream. I could definitely see wanting to stay and enjoy the loveliness. You will have awesome winters coming up. I hope there is no shoulder surgery/repair in your future. Maybe some PT?

CC I got so excited when I saw those type of CD rates at some banks around here. DH has a lump sum 401K. I suggested we consider moving any of it to CDs, just to have some money out of a volatile stock market. We're not clear whether they can be IRAs, we don't want to do it if it would become a taxable withdrawal. Must investigate.

Those videos of the cruise ship with water in the hallways are a bit unnerving, especially since I'm going on a cruise in a month! Also saw a report that a man went overboard near Jacksonville. Carnival Cruises are bringing the crazy this week!! (That's what I'm telling myself: these things would never happen on a Wind star cruise) .

It rained last night, and now its hot (89) and sunny. Should be awesome for the flowers I planted last week and yesterday.

I don't know what to think of Wegovy. Today I wore panties that previously were binding too much to be comfortable. Now they fit normal. Yet the scale has barely moved. I go up a dose Thursday. Right now it's helping me stay around 1,200 a day. This must be miniscule calorie deficit for me. But its better than not being able to lose an ounce or continue gaining. I am lower by a few pounds than I was on this date last year. Ill take that too, after being higher every year the past few. Hopefully a bigger dose will let me drop down to 900-1000 comfortably.

Greetings all

Scrabble today and I won 2 of three. Yay me. One guy I almost never beat. Killer good. Then I picked up and signed studio payroll. I was really hungry and resisted fast food and came home and made a proper chicken sandwich on an english muffin.

Liz the new place is fabulous. Nice going. Loved the tour. Yeah make a third bedroom. You will get plenty of guests! But rest that shoulder. Years ago I did something to one while tossing trash into a dumpster. Put up with it for months. Then I went to the chiropractor who fixed it in a couple of visits. I don't blame you for limiting ibuprofen. It's a great drug but has draw backs.

DD good on you for helping your parents even if they don't fully get it. Their lives will be better for it. And assuming your DH 401k plan has a self directing option, he should be able to direct the plan trustee to purchase CDs for him. Most such plans do allow self direction.

Yeah the cruise ship story is disconcerting. Makes me re think any cruise plans though I have never had a bad one.

C C your CD advice is good. I should do that. Another thing to organize. Good for you for getting treasurer report done.

Well I must glue up some wine stoppers for my gallery display. Maybe I will go there tomorrow. This afternoon its remove debris and barricades so house cleaner can come tomorrow.

Cheers. diane s
