We have everything moved! The old place will finish being touched up today and go in the market tomorrow. DH has a lot of angst about it as he wants it sold quickly. We have a lot of boxes to empty on this end though we did quite a few yesterday afternoon. My plan is to finish the master bath, then attack the kitchen. I did unpack all the towels and most linens yesterday. Why are there 12 navy blue bath towels (all in good shape)? DH hates to buy clothing but apparently doesn't mind buying towels.

I need to go to the Florida DMV today. My license is supposed to be a Real ID and has the emblem in the corner but it doesn't scan at the airport and the Florida DMV portal says it isn't a Real ID. What a pain because I gave all the documentation last year and don't have it all with me.

I am not overeating but I am not low enough in calories to lose. That's probably the best I can ask for until after the the next travels.

We saw a dolphin swimming in front of our building last night! DH started yelling from the lanai and I thought something was wrong. Hopefully at some point they will be active enough to get a video.

Time to go unpack. Have a thoughtful Thursday!

Our morning wildlife was was a waddle of ducks ! I woke up at 6:15 when Sadie became restless next to me. I began to hear quiet quacking punctuated by commanding quacks. There was a flock of ~20 ducks right outside my bedroom, next to the pond...4 or 5 adults and the rest were ducklings. Sooo adorable, but loud ! We attended a fun doggy birthday party yesterday ! Two small dogs and three larger dogs (2 labs and 1 doodle) comprise the pack. Sadie has inserted herself as the elder (as opposed to alpha). She likes to herd and "safeguard" the pack, and her maturity seems respected...the pack is not submissive as much as responsive.

Quiet day today.. setting up my new Fit*****arge 5 ( had a Sense) and looking for opportunities to count steps. Yesterday, I made the mistake of lifting the corner of the rug protector under my office chair and was shocked at the difference in color, so some rug shampooing is in order too. I'm trying to wait until after the upcoming rainy weekend but...

Love the description of Sadie playing matriarch! And looking under things always leads to more work!

I had such a productive day yesterday! The house is all clean, I went to PT and my neck is definitely moving better, and I came home with the intention to wash one set of windows in a hallway that overlooks a fountain and ended up washing half the windows of the house, and they look great. Despite them being big, it went rather smoothly and I probably should have done all of them. But I started with the worst ones and worked my way down. Maybe that'll be a task for tomorrow.

My friend is actually coming today! He should be here around nine so I need to hop in the shower. It's hazy today from all the smoke, so not Sedona at its most beautiful, but even hazy it's pretty.

Food continues to be good and keto really is non-punishing and craving-free. The scale dropped another 1.2 today, so I'm only up .4 from my pre-party weight. Hopefully whatever I pick at the restaurant this afternoon doesn't set me back again! I didn't take a walk yesterday because cleaning this house and it's windows is a major work out in itself.

Liz, where does one store 14 towels? I have a lot of storage in this house, but even I would struggle with that!

I hope everybody has a great day!

I jinxed it. He just called to cancel. My house has never been cleaner. So disappointing...

Greetings all

I have been awol for a bit. Yesterday studio buddy called and wanted me to take her to the ER. She was feeling lightheaded and off balance and generally weird so I took her in. Sat there for 6 hours before a doctor saw her. She did get an EKG because she thought she was having a heart attack. She was not. She is already on blood thinners so they sent her home and said follow up with her doctor. So a big waste of a day. The ER was really busy and ambulances kept coming in and all these weird people were there. People speaking Russian and another man demanding a suppository of valium! What a zoo. Good thing I had my phone games. Finally got home at 7 pm. I had texted DH to go get some deli food at the health food store and to get it heated up. So much for my day. At least I was not one of the bleeding people in the ER waiting hours to get stitched or a confused old man brought in by ambulance and then told to sit in the waiting room

Ocean Diane the dog party sounds fun. Glad Sadie was the den mother. Fun how dogs arrange themselves. And good for you for "nesting" and arranging fine house details. Its good to get to that point.

CC sorry your bff canceled. Another time I hope. Sounds like you are nesting too and it's all good. Glad the "Bat B Gone" is working.

How many navy blue towels Liz? Reminds me to go through ours. The pet rescue here always wants old towels. Last time I checked we had stuff I had forgotten about. Glad you are moved. Dolphins! Fun.

So dinner last night was the deli enchiladas. Actually quite good and mostly chicken. I think that will be lunch and dinner today. I need to get to the store for half and half and a few things. We will go to friends on memorial day and I am making the blue cheese roasted onions. 3 ingredients.

Not much else. Hoping to get chores done that I did not do yesterday. What was the Janis Joplin line "Its all just the same ******g day man..."

Diane S

ps. RIP Tina Turner. My personal fave.

Easy recipes are the best (all I make these days).

What amazes me about the 12 towels is that they are like new and great quality. Currently taking up almost 2 shelves in the linen closet...

I'd love the recipe for the three ingredient onions !
