I love how people are struggling to get the info/action needed from their HOA. Maybe try breaking one of the bylaws, no matter how small, and see how fast they get in touch with you?

Left work at contract quitting time, so I'm home a bit earlier than normal. DH and DD are out. I don't mind having a little quiet time to myself.

I just did my 3rd Wegovy injection. And I have to say, I'd be very sad if I was paying market rate, as I've only lost 3 pounds in 2 weeks. Slow. But if I can lose .5 -1 pound a week, I'll get there eventually... Hopefully before I retire :)

I have used the same weight tracking app since before my VSG. It estimates when you will reach your goal. As of today, I will, fingers-crossed, reach my goal weight at the ripe old age of 131!

Greetings all

No rain but cloudy. I drove up to the gallery in Trinidad and the sun was out there. Such a beautiful place. Picked up mail, delivered some art, picked up gallery money and made a quick grocery stop. The little market there is a good place to go if you are tired as you can park right in front and its not very big. A midwestern style grocery store would wear me out. Then it was on to pick up a new pair of glasses. They seem ok. Look lots like the old ones. Flexcon frames don't have any fun colors.

Liz glad you got some sleep. What is it about cars that promote sleeping? I know people who drive their infants around to get them to fall asleep. I had an idea for an invention that is a machine you attach to a crib to make it vibrate and sound like being in a car so the kid will fall asleep without going for a ride. Sound good?

Ocean Diane glad you have a helpful therapist. Always something to worry about when kids are out on adventure. Live in the moment. What a concept! Some of us are natural born worriers. Wish I could get a dose of don''t worry be happy. Peace to you.

Peps so sorry for your dad. But take comfort in knowing you are there to do the right things and on some level your dad knows too. We have all been through it and we are thinking of you.

CC glad you found a Dillards. Thats the best store. Most of my business clothes came from there. Are these things for the Bond party? Hope the painting is done soon. And yeah, break the HOA rules and see how fast they contact you.

DD sorry your DD is struggling. Rents are awful everywhere with no solution in sight. It's so hard to get educated and started in the world. And money may not buy happiness but it can buy a lot of comfort and security.

More shrimp and spinach tonight. And I picked up a couple of ears of sweet corn. A summer delight.

Yes, for the party. I got a simple black silk blouse at Neiman Marcus online and it fits - hooray and I also got a straight black skirt from there, but the material was so thin, you saw every lump and even some I don't have. So I was going to go the shape wear route and then thought, why not return the first skirt and find a better one. And these two I have to choose from are way better quality and cheaper.

Today was a better day for my dad. He did ask me once again about how he managed to break his leg. He also asked me to get him a new crossword puzzle book because the one he has is "too hard" and "I can't even get it started...". I suggested we do one together and lo and behold the more we did the quicker he got. We finished the entire puzzle and I think he felt satisfied. Two nurses came to talk to me about his marked improvement today. That was nice.

Tomorrow is my last day of teaching, but I still have a week of school left. It will be spent doing inventory of musical instruments and supplies and then the remaining time will be at the whimsy of my 6 administrators. I plan on making myself scarce when it comes to admin and seeing how I can support my fellow teachers!

I am looking forward to my weekend in beautiful Turlock, CA (kidding, it's a bit of a pit, but the fairgrounds are splendid...) Hope there is no Monster Truck extravaganza this weekend.

Hey peps when my dad had a stroke I got him a crossword puzzle for kids. At first he had trouble with even that but he did improve. So glad for progress. Ds

Maybe your Dad will come out of this and at least get back to where he was before the fall. I hope so!
