Hi all!

Got up this morning and am still sore as hell from my workout on Wednesday. I worked my abs too hard, that's for sure! The rest of the sore I like. It's just the lower abs that are "ouchie".

It has been staff/teacher appreciation week. Lots of free (and very tasty) food has been available all week. The scale is finally reflecting my indulgences. Oh well... what is life without a little indulgence, right? I am also aware that because I am thinking about weight loss this week, my eating disorder is triggered and wanting to rule my food choices. Once again.... deep sigh....

Went to the district retirement "tea" yesterday. It was amusing to me to be questioned over and over about when I was planning on retiring. I guess I have been around "that long". What was noticeably different is that even though I was drawn to my old school colleagues, I am clearly not part of a single school any longer. I am truly a district teacher with feeder roots at all the schools. I don't mind not having a school to call home, which I thought I would. I like the freedom of not being tied to a single school site.

Not much else to report. I am looking forward to having the weekend off from dog shows.

I know what you mean about it being nice to stay home. I am starting to really miss being home. I really miss Justice and having a regular routine.

It is 5:30 am on Saturday here. The time changes are a bear to get your head around. Since the time of day in Tahiti and Australia are the same (though they are a day apart), we are keeping our schedule in NZ to that daily clock. So we got up at 5 am NZ time (which would be 7 am in Tahiti and Australia). So we will stay on that same time zone until we leave Australia on Tuesday for Hawaii where we will move our schedule an hour closer to home.

The wine tour on Waheke was wonderful yesterday. What a beautiful island! We went to 3 boutique wineries and tasted some great wines. The only other participants were 2 doctors from Chicago who were great company. Today we are taking a city tour from 10-1, then will do our own exploring after that. Hopefully it will be dry out. Yesterday wasn't as wet as Thursday but we did have showers a couple of times and a lot of wind. I ended up buying a rain/wind jacket which worked great but where will I pack it???

Have a Fine Friday!

I once had to buy clothing while on a dog show trip due to mud and rain. The hotel shipped it home for me. I had no room to pack the extra clothing.

That time change adjusting would be very hard for me. The older I get the less flexible I seem to be with time changes.

I probably need to keep the jacket but maybe I should ship some other stuff home. Interesting thought - thanks for the suggestion!

Good Morning All

We are at the airport, all checked in and waiting for the airline lounge to open. 2.30am start but we are maximising our trip - as we tend to do!

Should arrive in Sydney around 7.30am. Will store our bag and go exploring. Staying in Darling Harbour tonight then move to Bondi.

So looking forward to meeting Liz & Mike tommorrow night

Have a wonderful day all

Argh. I was supposed to go to PT this morning and I didn't have it written down! I hate that. The confusing phone call asking where are you? How embarrassing. And probably expensive as I will likely have to pay for my stupidity. There us something about the iphone phone calendar I hate. I likely put it on the wrong day, never to be seen again. I think I'm putting in the day I want, but forget to check the date part and save...

What I did remember I have today is a hair appointment. So leaving for that momentarily.

Food was good again yesterday. Scale rewarded me with another pound. I had an omelette with some leftover cooked mushrooms, a slice of bacon broken up and some cheese. I skipped lunch as I was still full, had some nuts and a babybel cheese as a snack and grilled some steak for dinner. I was going to have veggies too, but it felt like too much work. I think salad today with steak for dinner.

Take care all!

Good food plans! Yeah, I mess up with appointments on my iPhone sometimes too. I have learned to re-check after I save to make sure they are in the right place.

I have a MacBook at work, but I still use the Google calendar, I like it. I love the MacBook, but I don't really use any apple browsers. I also have an iPad, but I don't really use it very much, a lot of the education sites, like Schoology, work better web based than app based..

The Wegovy did not make me sick, yeah!!! I noticed more gurgling after I eat, hiccups like in the old days when I'm getting full... My stomach/gut did feel crampy after lunch, but it didn't last long. So day 1, fine. Many days to go :)

So excited for Shirley and Liz!

I can't remember... is the Wegovy a weekly or monthly injection?

So glad it didn't cause you any ill effects.

Weekly. Yes, no ill effects, so far. But there is a long road ahead. Maybe I'll be fortunate and tolerate it well.
