We leave the ship in about 1/2 hour. Our large bags have already been taken from the hallway. They (and we) have a transfer to the hotel at 8:30. Since we can't get into our bungalow until 3, we will spend the day by the pool as we did on our first day in Tahiti.

The cruise really was wonderful. I have no negatives except that the internet connection stunk and the food in the main dining room at night was mediocre. Having few choices on where to go to hang out or eat was different from a big ship but being able to know all the crew and passengers was a unique experience. This was Mike's first cruise and he was very hesitant about it at first but he enjoyed it as much as I did. It will be interesting to see how he feels about the cruise in November on a ship which holds 4300 passengers.

Time to eat breakfast, our last meal here. Have a marvelous Monday!

So glad you had a nice cruise!

I had a good time with my neighbor last night. It was beautiful outside and we sat out there. It's pre-bug season, so have to take advantage.

She brought a small surprise fresh baked sourdough bread. Argh. With it being just the two of us, I didn't feel like I could refuse as that felt rude. So I had several bites, but didn't eat my whole piece. She left the rest with me and I guiltily pitched it after she left. I just don't need that right now as I'm trying to get my head into the right space! I suppose I could have explained that, but she is also overweight and I didn't want to her to feel judged in any way by my personal needs. Being around others is fraught with landmines!

No major plans today. Just need to pick up a prescription.

Hope you all have a good day...

What strength! I don't think I could throw away fresh sourdough - actually I know I couldn't right now ;)

You were so kind towards your neighbor! I applaud getting rid of the bread, I probably would have put in the freezer "for later" which would have been the same evening or this morning. Your plan is more foolproof!

April dog shows are done and Blitz raked in a total of 255 points for the month. That's an awful lot considering a group 1 win awards only 30 points. His Best in Show day earned him a grand total of 135 points, which really put him over the top. So, he is safely in the #1 spot for Airedale owner handled dogs in the nation. He's also #3 Airedale for group wins in the country. This is a pretty major achievement for a dog that is owner handled.

I haven't weighed myself since last week, so I'm not sure where I am. But I feel okay and that is what is important. I don't feel I have over sugared or over eaten in quite some time. Like Liz I am feeling the need to eat a little more in a way that will promote weight loss.

I went online last night to schedule a doctor's appointment. I have had increasing ankle pain over the past week or so. I wasn't able to get an appt. until the 15th with my primary doc. I may see about scheduling a phone or video visit sooner. Short version, I am having random sharp shooting pain in my ankle that makes me absolutely crumble. I have a feeling it's tendonitis, but I can't self diagnose. Reading online it was clear that there are way too many causes of severe ankle pain and it's not something to be taken lightly. So given my proximity to being a "senior" I figure it's best to have it checked out. I can't believe I'm using the word "senior" to describe myself. My father is a senior, not I!!!!!!! LOL! Tell that to AARP.... Cuz I am on their mailing list.

DD, our weather is going back to winter, too. BOOOOO! 90 degrees on Friday and Saturday. Today's high is supposed to be 61. It's also cloudy and drizzling. YUCK!

Welcome to Monday!

That ankle pain sounds like it definitely needs to be checked out! Sounds like it could cause you to fall.

Yeah for Blitz superstar, and his owner. Boo for the ankle. Tendonitis can be the devil, I once had an inflammation so bad in my ankle, it hurt to press the gas pedal down. Here's to an accurate diagnosis, and effective treatment!

Update: The transfer to the hotel was very smooth and at least the grounds are beautiful. BUT we can't get our overwater bungalow which was the specific reason we came here! Supposedly it flooded a couple of nights ago so we are going to have a suite in the main hotel instead. We wouldn't have stayed the extra night if we knew we wouldn't be in a bungalow. And we still need to talk to them about a partial refund.

ETA: I thought they might be lying to us about the bungalow- there are a lot of them here and they loo****upied, but in the area where ours would have been they are definitely wet. But still very disappointing as we could have spent more time in New Zealand or Australia vs being in a regular hotel room here. It should end up being half the cost so I guess that is good.
