Nearly May, my goodness.
It's going to be hot this weekend! 87 today. Blech. But at least it's not 103 like Palm Springs - sorry Diane!
No irrigation work noise this weekend, woohoo!
I had an enjoyable lunch with my new friend. I tried to stick to less carbs, but the restaurant didn't make it easy. You win some you lose some. The rest of the day was fine. And that's all you can do! The scale was down today and that's a plus.
In a little bit I am walking with my across the street neighbor (the planner of get togethers at my house). She's nice.
Nothing else on tap for today. Maybe vacuuming...
Good luck at the dog show, Peps!
I love all the connections you've made! And I admire walking in the 87 degree sun. And also, jealous. It's in the 40s here. The newspaper had an article today that said if you think April has gotten colder, you're not wrong. The 5 coldest Aprils over the last 50 years took place this decade. Actually within the last 6 years. November seems to be warmer, its like the seasons shifted.
My Wegovy med should be filled this weekend according to my pharmacy. I thought if I get it today, should I take it? I'm going to hold off until Thursday afternoon. If I get sick, I can call in on Friday. But if I take it this weekend, and I don't feel well, I would miss a parent meeting at 7:15 am on Monday. (Monday, 7:15 am, my favorite kind of meeting, ugh!) I argued with myself that eaiting for a few more days isn't that big a deal. Its not like I think I'm going to lose 5pounds in five days. Maybe more like a pound. Maybe, if I'm lucky. This will give me some time to get the right groceries together etc. I'm so nervous about being sick, I thought I might start out eating a lot of soft foods like yogurt, cottage cheese, soups, things I ate once I started solid food after my surgery.
Tonight dinner in Minneapolis, then Hamlet. Really looking forward to it :)
I think that's wise. Nodules are nothing to fool around with. One of the reasons I got approved is that my medical records show that I maintained a steady weight for 4 years, and then gained 30 pounds, which I cannot budge, due to Tamoxifen. Even so, I choose the Tamoxifen and the extra 30 pounds if that's how it goes. We have to use every tool to beat back anything that falls under the category of tumors, benign or not.
Last 2 full days on the ship. I am tired! Partially because I didn't sleep well last night. I am not sure I am cut out for these long travels. We met a couple here who probably travels 6 months of the year. I could NOT do that.
Today is a last snorkel which is a repeat of one we did from this island previously. It had the best fish and now we have a working camera to hopefully capture some of them.
Have a satisfying Saturday!
As for the Wegovy, just got a text from the pharmacy it's ready to pick up. Very tempted to inject now, but I need to get my ducks in a row.
Also, trying to not invest too much hope in this prescription. This will be the third post surgery medication I've tried. Extremely grateful for the opportunity to give it a go, but it might not work.
DH is moving to the 2nd month's dose. He lost 11 pounds his first month. Side effects, he had heartburn initially. He said he could feel that overeating could lead to nausea. So he doesn't overeat. I hope to tolerate it as well as he does, but I need to be realistic. He tolerates lots of medication better than I do....
