Yes sometimes. My niece had the BRACA gene, and her mother died from breast cancer. My niece was not diagnosed, but she had propolatic mastectomy and total hysterectomy. My tumor was super high estrogen, I would have wanted to consider at least removing my ovaries, but they had already left the building 15 years earlier.

Can't really 'like' your reply, but want to acknowledge it.

Greetings all

check in from Palm Springs where it is lovely but very hot. No way could live here but it's fun to visit. We drove through Joshua tree today. It's wonderful. So many interesting rocks. Got a date shake milkshake made with dates. It's good.

eating is not healthy but is moderate. We went out for dinner last night. My brother has a service dog who goes everywhere with him including restaurants. A sweet little dod.

went in the pool awhile today. I need to start that again. So nice to move without pain. But I was pretty ungrateful getting out of the pool. No rails. Glad no one saw me.

more stuff when I am back to a keyboard. Brother is very tired and it concerns me.

Diane, so lovely to hear your visit started off so nicely. Perfect to get into the pool. How wonderful for your brother to have you there, between his health and Covid, getting together must have been difficult. Enjoy your time!

Sounds like a positive start to your visit. It is hard to see changes in our loved ones though.

Hopefully Peps got on the road at a decent time, with chimney adapters in place.

Somehow, it was a long week, with many little fires everywhere, most hopefully put out before I left. Of course, I speak of metaphorical fires, but apparently a student started one in the garbage can in the bathroom today, so there's that.

DH and I did our happy hour thing, and I've been happily at home watching Netflix since about 6:30 pm. Tomorrow night we have tickets to see Hamlet, at our premier theater in Minneapolis, The Guthrie. Hamlet is a favorite of mine, really looking forward to it.
