Now, this just ain't right..... me starting the thread two days in a row....
Hoping to pull out on the road by 4 pm today. I want to put the chimney adapters on the generator exhaust pipe before leaving though. I'm worried about not having a power hook up at the fairgrounds. With the temps we have forecast, I will need to have some type of power to run the AC, so better safe than sorry and having to put the adapters on in the valley heat tomorrow.
Feeling a little bloated this morning and the scale reflected a bit of water weight. Still in my safe range, but just barely.
Looking forward to a fun weekend. Happy Friday!

The adapter moves the exhaust to above the RV?
Another early morning start for the irrigation stuff. It's gotten into the 80s, so I understand wanting to start early when it's cooler. So much jackhammering!
Today I am having lunch with a woman I met at the day trip I went on. Should be fun, I liked her.
Food was good yesterday. I had a salad for lunch with the rest of the rotisserie chicken and made chicken legs in my air fryer for dinner and they were delicious. I put a little olive oil on them, then salt, pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and oregano. I read a little baking powder makes them crispy like fried chicken, but I didn't have any. I still thought they were plenty crispy. No sauce needed.
Funny, normally I think I don't like chicken, but I think what I mentally equate "chicken" to is all the boneless, skinless, bland, dry breasts I've eaten in my dieting life. (I also don't like coming across non-meat stuff like a tendon or an overly fatty piece). But this day's chicken was good.
I've been pulling foxtails from the yard. I don't think they were an issue in southern CA. Not like here. Lots of stories of dogs being injured or dying from having one burrow into their skin or nose. I don't think I can do anything about the area outside my walled patio - too many acres and all natural - but I don't want them where my future dogs will hang out. I filled half a 5 gallon bucket with them and have have the patio to go. Nasty things. My cactus had some more blooms yesterday evening:
I guess plants are like people. Some are cool and fun and pretty to look at and some just want to get under your skin and kill you. Hahaha...
Have a good day everyone!
I hope you have a great weekend. Good luck getting the adapter things on (that's to be able to use a generator vs. plug-in I assume?)
Our day in Bora Bora yesterday was good. We had a decent lunch at Bloody Mary's. I had a fantastic piece of grilled tuna. Last night we had dinner in the regular restaurant with a couple also on their honeymoon. They are almost 80 and live in an independent living place where one can move into assisted living when it is time. So weird to think that in 10 years we might be considering the same?
Today I may buy some black Pearl earrings in town, then we are going to snorkel this afternoon and we have the French Polynesian version of a luau tonight on the Motu we are going to snorkel at.
My nephew's wife is undergoing surgery for breast cancer today. I sent a note of support to her mom as I remember how it felt to have a daughter with cancer. You would take it onto yourself if you could but because you can't you feel so helpless. Hopefully all will go well but I am guessing there will be a several day wait for results on margins so that will be nail-biting. One day they were trying for a second child and the next she is facing months of treatment and the knowledge that there will never be another child. Life is truly short.
Have a fine Friday!
At least 2 reasons: her type of cancer is fueled by estrogen and also her age. She is 39 and it will probably be a couple of years before she would be considered clear of treatment.
