Jerry Springer has died. Just gonna leave that there. I did not/do not have a high opinion of his type of reality-hype TV.

Food intake was less than desirable yesterday - only in the fact that I had too many treats.... "See Food" syndrome.

Another busy day.... After coming home from school I sat down and fell asleep in my chair for 30 minutes then got up went to a training session, came home did a few odds and ends then got Blitz on the table to trim, got the dogs fed and finally sat down to eat at 9 pm. One more dog show weekend before a weekend off! But, on the positive side of things, I'm accomplishing the goals I set for Blitz and myself. That in itself is well worth the extra effort on my part.

Today promises to be another fully loaded day. The nice thing is that once I get in the RV and drive off, I feel like I'm going on a little mini vacation. It's nice to be on the road with just one dog and spend the weekend hanging out with him.

I saw Bonnie wrote a long post on our TT page. Haven't read it yet, but it promises to be interesting. Whenever she writes a long one, I know it's going to be introspective.

Liz, I'm afraid after your tropical boat life, reality is going to hit you like a ton of bricks! How much longer is the complete vacation?

Diane S. my plans currently are to come up to Ferndale in early July for the 4 days of shows. Fingers crossed nothing changes. Hopefully, we'll be able to meet up.

That's pretty much it from me.

Hello friends!

Well, my yard is indeed bald, but it will grow back. Maybe this summer if we get a nice monsoon rain again. Two years in a row might be too much to ask though! They are running the trencher today and a jackhammer when they hit rock (Sedona is mostly rock) and started before 7. I was pissy at having been woken up thinking it was the neighboring house builders only to realize it was at my house! Oops.

Food was good yesterday. I went to lunch with my new friend (really enjoyed our time!) and had a salad with shrimp, hold the croutons. In the evening I texted my neighbor to see if she wanted to walk and we had a nice time gabbing.

Today I might go to Costco to escape the noise. Or do something else to get away for a bit.

One pretty thing to share, my Argentine Giant Cactus bloomed yesterday. They bloom at night once a year and each last a day:

Peps, I think Jerry Springer was the beginning of the death of decorum in our country... Entertaining to a small extent, but the beginning of the end for bad public behavior being universally frowned upon.

Hope everyone has a good day!

(That second to last sentence is kind of a mess to leave out there in front of teachers!... a circular double negative plus a positive? I meant we as a society no longer see bad public behavior as the horror it is and Jerry Springer started that downward spiral in my opinion.)

I agree with CC on Jerry Springer. I only saw pieces of his show when someone else had it on and was always appalled. That a show would promote the behavior AND that anyone would agree to participate.

Nice that stepping into the RV makes you feel like you are on vacation Peps. I always feel that way when I go over the bridge to Cape Cod though I live there now. It brings back memories of traversing it to begin vacation when I was a child.

We return home from our travels early in the morning of May 15. I miss Justice a lot though I get lots of pictures and videos of him. When my son is busy Justice is going to the home of a woman I found on rover.com. He seems to really enjoy it there. She only takes smaller dogs and has a large beautiful fenced in yard so they can sniff around all over the place. Heaven for him.

Even though we are home on Cape Cod for a few days in mid-May, we have to go back to Florida on May 19 for a bit more than a week to close on the new home, move our stuff from the former home, and get that place officially on the market. We are driving the car to Virginia and taking an auto train from there because we are too tired to drive the whole thing and need to get the car back south (right now we have 3 on Cape Cod). We return to the Cape on May 31, then leave for our annual 2 weeks in Aruba on June 10. I have to admit that we ended up with way too much jammed close together. We may choose to have a very quiet remainder of the year.

Today we are at Bora Bora and are taking a taxi to Bloody Mary's for lunch. We will probably swim or kayak off the back of the boat after that. Last night we got to go to the fancy restaurant again (Candles). For some reason on this part of the cruise people aren't reserving it much (we are wait listed for every night).

Have a thriving Thursday!

Concur that Jerry Springer did a lot to make public discourse coarser. And people like Andrew Dice Clay and Howard Stern.

Peps I love a road trip so much. DH and I used to talk a lot about the RV life. We shall see.

Liz, Bora Bora. It just sounds exotic!! The fancy restaurant on the Star Pride is also Candles. I'm happy to hear each passenger can only make a certain number of reservations, so that its not a free for all trying to get in. And then having a waiting list, that's awesome too, so you can use all opportunities.

Well, big news, I got approved for Wegovy!!! Up to a year. I'm happy and scared. It's been uneventful for DH, but he processes medication differently than me. The next hurdle here is getting the prescription filled. Hopefully I have it by next Friday, because the first dose I do, I want to do on a Friday afternoon. That way if it makes me sick, I'll have 2 days to recuperate.

Congratulations on the Wegovy! I wish I felt I could afford it.

Thanks! I don't want to invest too much hope in it, in case I can't tolerate it. I did look up generic metformin, looks like its $25 -40 out of pocket. Maybe that would give you a boost in appetite suppression?
