After a day at sea we start to repeat the islands from our first trip. We are going to tour a vanilla plantation and snorkel, then we revisit a private motu for lunch and more swimming. We enjoyed the motu visits a lot last time. Last night we went to the fancier restaurant on the ship. The first week of the cruise we were allotted 1 visit and for the second part 2 visits. This extra one was in addition because we were on a wait list if they weren't full. The food quality is so much better and we get to dine by candlelight on the deck.

Time to get dressed and have a very small breakfast. I can't snorkel with much in my stomach.

Have a tremendous Tuesday!

I went to the grocery store this morning in an attempt to have healthy food in the house... I have some leftover rotisserie chicken, so maybe a chicken salad for lunch. I bought salad veggies. I don't know why I have such an aversion to assembling meals for myself. I have no issue cooking for others, but for me, my inner whiner is complaining, ugh dirty dishes, ugh effort, ugh planning, ugh healthy food... She's a pain in my rear!

Later today I have a board meeting, hopefully speedy. Irrigation guys are still working hard. Lots of pick axe work to trench for the bubblers to the trees. I have some cacti flowers that seem to be ready to burst. The bats are still here. I think that Dave the bat man putting up netting after the painting is going to be the way to go. Not the most attractive, but the poop is gross and plentiful.

I think that's it! Off to make myself a salad. (Ugh dirty dishes, ugh effort....)

I get the whining voice, that is why I often have peanut butter toast for dinner when DH is away! 1dirty knife, and a salad plate. If I'm really not in the mood, perhaps I eat it on a paper napkin.

Ugh, poop cleaning of any kind. Be better bats, and hang out somewhere else.

Hi all! Mostly recovered from the weekend, but my hips are still sore from all the running about and the super long days.

Yes, as Diane S said, a Best in Show is a great big deal. It is my very first one and I've been showing dogs close to 30 years. I was on cloud 9 all Sunday evening and a good part of yesterday. Today I am feeling back to normal, but still pleased a*****h.

I am very happy and proud to say that Blitz is now the #1 owner handled Airedale in the USA! He is also the #3 Airedale in all breed points, which is no small feat either. He is currently unranked in breed points, but at the end of April I believe he will be ranked #4 in the USA. My goal is to keep him ranked #1 in owner handled and move him up to and keep him in #3 in the other two standings.

Weight is still in the acceptable range.

Have you ever thought of what you might do with the energy you/we expend concerning ourselves with our weight and what we eat? It's an interesting concept to ponder. I'm playing with this a little bit because I realized that letting myself be the size I am has some plusses - first and foremost is self acceptance. To be okay with my size seems to be "wrong", but at the same time, it seems like the "right" thing to try for. Interesting complexities my thoughts bring about.....

Costco has a chocolate peanut butter pie. Our friend Auntie Kathryn has been jonesing for this pie for months. Yesterday while Ron was at Costco he inquired about the pie. They were just finishing their first batch ever at our Costco and gave Ron a freshly made pie. He brought it home. Mind you it is an almost 5 pound pie!!!! I'm thinking, "Why??? Why must you bring this **** into the house?" But he's a normie. He can have this stuff in the house and forget it's there. I do not. I know exactly where it is and how much is left. LOL! I forced Kathryn to take half the pie home, so we were left with about a 1/4 of it. At least it will be gone in short order. If you like cream or mousse pies, this one is a good one. It's not really my jam, so at least that is in my favor. However, the flavor profile is rather magnificent!

18 more teaching days after today. Whoo hooo!!!!! Lots and lots of dog shows up coming, too. Gotta keep my boy in the lead.

Thank you! I don't expect non dog show people to quite understand, but it is a really big deal in the dog show world.

I knew it was a big thing, but didn't realize how big until you said what it meant! Such a big deal!

Congratulations on many fronts. Best of Show, sounds mindblowing. Blitz is clearly magnificent, and you are an amazing owner/breeder. Besides being a champion in shows, you are such an ethical, compassionate owner. Clearly what's best for your dogs is what comes first. And that's how you get a champion! And also, you gave away half your pie!! Kudos, I'm in a pie eating mood today, and might have kept it for myself :)

Liz, the Windstar ship we will be on has the option of candle light dining on the deck, but I am not counting on it. Seems to me a cruise in the north Atlantic isn't going to be warm enough. There is a Tapas restaurant too, looking forward to that option. And it sounds like BBQ one night. Our ship accommodates about 340 guests, so much, much less than a typical cruise, but still double the number of guests on your cruise.

We are all in a tizzy here that the temp might get into the 50s this week. The sun is finally out, and even though its 42, and our furnace is running as I type, the sun is cheery.

I feel for the spring sports coaches. Would not want to be at all the various games and meets that are scheduled today.

Not much else going on. I'm going to get a pedicure in the hope that one day I will wear sandals again.
