I'm the first today????

We are in Bora Bora for the next 2 days. Yesterday's time on the private motu was great and I got comfortable snorkeling again. Today we are going to kayak off the back of the ship in the morning, then take the 4 wheel drive jeep tour this afternoon. Tomorrow we are snorkeling during the day, then we are at another private motu for dinner.

The internet is even worse today than usual and there is no phone service to use as an alternative. So frustrating! I wanted to check that our tax payment was successfully transferred out of my account but I don't have enough internet connection for the bank app to work. Oh well! I guess it will be what it will be...

Have a marvelous Monday!

I'm wallowing in a pile of Kleenex and self-pity! My nose has stopped running, but now is just completely blocked and a cough has kicked in. Good times. It is beautiful outside so in keeping with my mom's advice, I'm attempting to bake the germs out of me in the sun.

Not much else to report here! I don't really feel like doing much!

CC, your Mom's advice is right on, sunshine is a great healer. I had pneumonia once that two rounds of treatment didn't knock out. Went to Florida in June, and lounged by the pool, pneumonia finally gone!

Liz all that snorkeling and beautiful beaches and kayaking. Its like what I imagine heaven should be.

Still a little shook over our harrowing drive last night. I don't find myself in these situations typically, because when there is a warning, we don't go out. Our weather apps did not adequately describe what was happening and we drove unknowingly into a real mess. Might have stayed one more night in Madison if we knew.

Monday, Monday. DD leaves for the airport in a bit. She will be back for a weekend in May, we have Andre Butocelli concert tickets.

DS is talking about buying a house. I guess he really is going to stay in Madison.

Greetings all

It's pouring rain here. So much for spring. And it rained yesterday during the puppy party so we had it indoors. Five little dogs running around seemed like 100! But we had a nice lunch and a good visit and the dogs mostly got along. Only a few small tiffs. Poppy was kind of worried as she is not used to so many dogs. Boy was she tired. Also, I had set my dog grooming bag on a table on the porch. While we were not looking the dogs got into it and chewed up a jar of Kwik stop - a styptic product for dog toenails. Not discovered until this morning. So there was panic and call to animal poison control (not by me) but all is well. Always some drama.

So Liz our rain is making me think of Bora bora. Warm waters and snorkeling sounds like a good idea.

CC sorry you are so sick. Warm sun sounds like a good RX. The cold pills that come from behind the counter work pretty well but that always means you have to go stand in line at a pharmacy when you least feel like it. Isn't it astonishing that there is no really effective treatment when so much suffering comes from colds. Get well.

DD sounds like the snow road trip was really a bad one. Good that DS likes Madison. I hear it's a great town.

I went out and about in the rain. Picked up payroll, went to the pet store for dog food and supplies (replacing the Kwik stop) and then to the studio to get a few new things from the kiln.

Smoked sausage for dinner tonight or maybe leftovers from the puppy party. Cheers. Diane S

I gather the Kwik Stop isn't too dangerous?

Better late than never, right?

Back from the dog show. We had a great weekend. Lots of very nice wins. I'm very proud of my puppy boy, Buster. His daddy Blitz did very well, too. I didn't realize until tonight when checking statistics online that Blitz is very close to taking the number one owner handled Airedale in the USA spot. I am hoping that he will earn enough points by the end of April to take the lead. He needs 45 more points to tie. I think we can do it!

Another one of Blitz's puppies earned a major win on Sunday and yet another earned a puppy Group 2 on Thursday at the puppy show. There are other brags, too, but.... enough is enough....

While eating over the long dog show weekend was up and down, I guess the activity level keeps me in check. I was at a new low this morning when I got back on the scale. I'm sure it won't last once my hydration level gets back on track. I think I get super dehydrated over dog show weekends. I was pretty thirsty today.

Liz, sounds like an amazing vacation. DD... I missed something about your harrowing adventure last night. Will have to find out about that. CC, sorry you are feeling so poopy with your cold. No fun at all! Diane S. sounds like the puppy party was fun, if not a little too much for indoors.

Well, time for me to start thinking about getting to bed.
