Waking up in Madison Wisconsin. Plans include eating at our favorite brunch place, The Jet Room. Then if it's not raining, a walk through a botanical garden. Then checking out a couple of trendy bars. But early, so we don't fight the crowds.

I am going to need to come back a few days this summer when I can work. We helped DS move in September, and he still hasn't finished unpacking. It's the ADHD. He can mostly unpack, but he can't finish the last remnants. If I help him organize, then he can usually keep it reasonably tidy.

Well time to get ready for brunch.

Interesting that the ADHD has that effect. Lack of focus? My eldest DD was never good at unpacking because she would always get distracted. Her room was always a mess because the same thing would happen when told to tidy it up.

BTW, my mother was born in Madison and lived there until just before high school when she moved to Portland OR. My grandfather was the head of the department of agriculture in Wisconsin.

We are currently in Raiatea, having sailed through the night and docked about an hour ago. This afternoon we are kayaking but this morning may just walk around a bit as we are actually on a dock. Yesterday we had to take a tender in Moorea. But once there we rented a scooter and went completely around the island in a couple of hours. We stopped at a beach and swam in water that was as clear as a pool. Amazing fish were swimming around our feet. Hopefully I can get some pictures up on FB.

Have a super Saturday!

Sounds amazing, Liz! dD, I also get sidetracked on projects. I like starting them, but the finishing is hard. For me, it seems a product of a short attention span. I blame the internet! Hard to pay attention to anything these days for long stretches. There is always a better distraction.

My cold is here. Bummer. At least the fever of yesterday afternoon and evening has gone. Just sneezing and blowing now. I did a covid test and nope, just a another cold.

Speaking of walking away from projects, I started to try to move my pool internet connection today and what I thought would fix the problem did not, so I walked away for a bit. Grr. Nothing is easy. It worked fine before the internet changes the a/v guys did, but ai read it doesn't like to be near other electronic equipment and it was now surrounded. I would buy a new one that apparently is stronger, but they are $800 and I feel like I need to exhaust all other possibilities before I leap off that monetary cliff.

So that's what I'm doing this lovely Saturday. Blowing my nose, sneezing, and fiddling unsuccessfully with wireless stuff.

Good times!

Take care all!

PS - DianeS, Murphy the papa eagle is modeling how to eat a fish for his new baby when he sees him not digging in. Very sweet!

Greetings all

Overcast but nice today. I actually got to work on clearing off my desk. But I hear you all on not being able to finish up a project like this which is not fun. Not even that satisfying either but I am a person who does not find cleaning satisfying. In my case I don't get finished because my back starts hurting and sit down with some water and play games on my phone. Time passes. But I did get one of my adulting chores done and DH mowed some more lawn. Not sure why he does not keep at it until it's done - maybe the same reason I don't get my desk cleared.

Puppy party tomorrow which may present some food challenges. I know my friend will make too much food and then fuss about it. I told her not to overdo but oh well.

Looks like Peps has been killin it at the dog shows. Yay.

Sounds like you had a great trip Ocean Diane. That part of the world is a delight.

CC more repairs??!! Wishing you luck with the electronic gremlins.

Laundry underway. How do we make so much laundry? It's not like I have an extensive wardrobe.

Liz enjoy the fish show. Bet tha****er is extra warm. Makes me even more curious about Tahiti.

DD good of you to help your DS with his new digs. And gee, we moved here 20 years ago and there are still some boxes of stuff unpacked. Of course it's DH stuff. Have fun at the Jet Room. I am wondering what sort of food they serve.

Enchiladas for dinner and then an exciting evening of hair washing. Life in the slow lane. Diane S

The Jet room has pretty standard breakfast food, but very well prepared. I am in love with their crab benidict. The cool thing, they have all glass on one wall, overlooking the tarmac for the runway used by the National Guard and private planes. DH is in heaven.
