Happy Easter if you celebrate it. We dont really other than getting together with family when possible. Today we are going to SIL's home nearby though I thought it was going to be here.
We arrived back on Cape Cod at 4:30 yesterday. Everything is offloaded from the car but not unpacked. DS made chicken Parmesan for dinner last night so we didn't have to go out. I ate 1/3 of what he thought was a small serving LOL. Thank you sleeve!
Lots to do in the next 2.5 days prior to leaving for Tahiti. Mostly unpacking/packing to make sure I have the right stuff. Since we will be spending about a week in New Zealand and Australia we also have to bring some warmer clothing as it will be fall there. Time to get motivated.
Have an energetic Easter Sunday!
Happy Easter!
The weather here is having a big warm up too! 70s this week. Since we have a significant snow pack in our front yard still, seems hard to believe. But it is in the 60s today, after being in the low 30s all week.
Covid rears it's ugly head yet again. My SIL texted to say she tested positive yesterday afternoon. I had a cold at the beginning of the week, or did I have Covid? It never occurred to me I might. It felt different, way different than when I was sick with a positive Covid test last November. But that is the mystery of this thing. Anyway, I felt sicky last Saturday and Sunday, but then fine. SIL took a nap after we left, and woke up feeling not good. Took a Covid test. This morning I have a headache and mild sore throat. Negative test. But since I have some symptoms, I am skipping the group pre theater dinner, and meeting everyone at the theater, and I'll wear a mask. A couple people in the group are very Covid cautious, so I want to honor that. But geeze.
Very fun having my kids at home, and I think DH is having a nice birthday. DD will be home all week. DS has to go back to Madison Monday evening, but we are all going to go visit him over the weekend.
COVID seems to be morphing. The second time I had it felt much different from the first and Mike said the same. It seems as common as the cold lately. There aren't many people I know who haven't had it at least once even though all are fully vaxxed.
Greetings
Oops missed Easter post. We had a nice day. Dinner at friends - all the usual suspects. We are all moving rather slowly but it was fun. Hostess gave us each a little bag of Easter candy which had Peeps! We all made fun of the peeps. mine was pink and you could not tell what species it was meant to be. Finally agreed that all Peeps should be microwaved.
So that was our day. More later. Diane S
