I thought someone else would have posted by now! We are halfway to DC - we left at 6 am and I did the first half of the drive.

Hopefully we arrive by 4 so we have plenty of time to check in and change before we go to a Michelin star restaurant with Mike's DS (Albi).

We will probably be on the road between 7 and 8 for the last leg of the drive.

Good, but late, morning to all!

Scale continues to drop with little effort on my part. Gotta love that.

Last few days of spring break will be spent with a cold. I thought it was allergies the first few days, but yesterday it was clear I have a cold. Booo.... At least it's a mild one. Still the congestion (head and chest) suck!

More grooming and cleaning.... Have to pick up the RV to get it ready for next week's dog show adventure.

One thing about my size now is I am not able to buy sport coats off the rack without a few alterations. I am paying more than the cost of a coat in alterations for two jackets. UGH.... But I will feel more comfortable in a properly fitted coat, so in the end the extra money spent is worth it.

Liz, drive safely! That 95 (I assume you are using 95) can be a horrible if traffic problems arise. CC, go find some javelinas on your walk and take more pics for us!

Yep - 95 stinks. The last 60 miles will end up taking us about 2 hours (traffic, rain, crashes).

I had such a nice morning! I had reached out to a woman who lives in my neighborhood who I met at the ladies get together a few weeks ago that I really liked. I had asked if she wanted to get lunch someday and she invited me to her house this morning for coffee. We had such a good time! 2 hours flew by. She said she'd love to make it a regular thing. I agreed! We decided on hiking together too.

This afternoon I've been loafing. I should go try to do something productive... my house needs tidying!

Off to do at least one productive thing...

DD love that hotel you showed us in Galveston. I recall that town as being pretty cool but then I was 12 years old. enjoy the travels.

It's cloudy today but not raining. I went to the studio for awhile but mostly chit chatted and goofed around. My studio is a complete mess and needs deep cleaning. Someday. I definitely do not have the cleaning gene. Not in my DNA.

CC glad you have a new buddy. Fun. Exploring the place and the people is the best part of moving. I was just thinking today of how much fun we had 20 years ago when we first moved here. Discovering restaurants, views, unusual people and places. Very fun.

Peps are your dogs better? Hoping so. And hey good on you for losing a few pounds without feeling tortured. Thats the worst part of trying to lose weight - feeling left out of the party. Whats the show plan? Where?

Not much else. Pizza tonight. I count it as a salad because I have veggie pizza. LOL. Diane S

Back at my BIL's house in Greune, Texas. Tomorrow we go to the Austin airport and meet up with our children in Minneapolis for Easter which is also DH's birthday. :)
