Hope the drive goes well Liz. Very nice to have Justice go with you to the beach. Austin was very dog friendly, with lots of dogs at restaurants, out walking. I saw dogs romping on the beach yesterday in Galveston, so I'm assuming they are allowed ...
CC your javelin pictures are awesome! Do they stay away from "civilization", or are they adapting to being in the human world like raccoons and possums.
Peps, it is a very good feeling to know you have choices. I know I need to persevere until June 2025, but I suppose if it became totally impossible, I could figure out a way to leave my current position.
Rainy days in Galveston, but I love, love our hotel, and the delicious seafood I've eaten. Would definitely come back. It is a working harbor, so its not as pretty as some vacation areas, but I like it. No hotels on the beach, everything is across the road. It has a nice wide sidewalk that goes for miles on the seaside of the road. Lovely to walk (got one in before the rain) and not be surrounded by condo high rises.
Today we went to NASA Space Center. That was for DH. :) Although I am very intrigued by the Artemis project.
Out to dinner in a moment. Tomorrow, back to Greune. Peps, it is a very fun area, but what about the heat and humidity in New Brunfels? It's impressive how hot it can get!

Javelina are very adapted to living around people. The big bruhaha this summer was someone was feeding a big family of them in town and they ended up biting 3 people who got too close (their fault, not the javelina). The Game and Fish Dept usually will destroy the whole herd for being biters (over 20 of them in this herd), but it was such a public thing they had them relocated to a wildlife rehabilitation center in Scottsdale with the stipulation they would never be released. Best not to feed wild animals! (Other than hummingbirds). They are big destroyers of gardens and have loads of babies so not everyone likes them. I think they're cool.
Greetings all from the iPad so expect weirdness. I did a day of galleryduty.showed a Canadiancouple the best places to go to. Nice folks. After the shift studio buddy and I went to moonstone wine tasting room which is fun and full of locals. Warm and nice. We had the barbers, nice. Then I brought pizza home, so a pleasant day with little thought to weight though ididnotearlots,
