Good morning! Diane's post yesterday reminded me that a week from today we will be in Tahiti (at some point). The time difference is 6 hours earlier than US east coast time. We get there at 5 am Wednesday, so I guess it will 11 on the east coast? All I know is that I will be severely sleep deprived after 2 long flights to get there.
As reported on FB, we biked for 16.1 miles yesterday. It was hot out! It has been a long time since I biked that far but I was glad that I could still do it. We should probably bike around more often. We saw a lot of the island but some of the path wasn't in the prettiest area. The day before yesterday we went to Sea Pines which would have been beautiful to bike around but you have to be in a car and pay $9 to go there.
Today the plan is to have a Justice walk to the beach (about 4+ miles round trip), then go back to the beach with our chairs (in the car). We need to sit around after yesterdays calisthenics LOL.
Have a winning Wednesday!
Busy day ahead... grooming is naturally on the agenda. Additionally, picked my dad up this morning to take him to his standing brunch date, meeting the realtor to go over offers (2 are in, 2 more supposedly coming by noon), have to clean my desk so I can finish up my last bit on taxes...., have a chiropractic appointment and a training session. Going to be a busy one!
Somehow I have managed to get my weight back down into the acceptable range. Well, I know how I managed it, but sometimes I just don't get how my body works. I think my body is stress sensitive and doesn't like to let go of weight during stressful episodes in my life. So, now I need to keep up this trajectory.
Liz, I hope you keep us up to date on your Tahiti trip by photo journaling and posting for us on TT.
Greetings to all that follow....
Greetings all
Sitting here letting my hair air dry so it's a good time to check in. I made a list of things to accomplish today and about half of them are done. The remaining items: drop off stuff at the bank and do my walk. Funny how the walk part gets low in the list.
Peps you have a boat load of stuff to do. Hope it goes well and that your Dad's house sells easily. My moms place sat uninhabited for 5 years due to it being totally full of junk. A relief to know your dad is safe. Is he liking his new place?
CC, any balloons today? How did the great hike go and the cardboard transport? I have visions of an aircraft carrier loaded down with cardboard.
One of the things I did today was catch up on gallery banking so all thats left is to take the deposit over. There are 20 members and they each pay a monthly fee to be in the gallery and it's my job to collect the payments and deposit them and then record them as paid. You would think that would be easy but they pay different amounts at different times and at different places so it's always messy. I decided to get it in order at the end of each quarter instead of waiting to year end. We shall see.
Our food planning is pathetic. I ate the rest of an Asian sub last night and DH had a frozen burrito. Not sure whats on tonight so must check the freezer. I think there is a good steak in there.
Yeah Liz you will be in a different time zone soon so we shall see who starts this. Could be me though I am west coast sleeper-inner.
I also glued some slug figures on to wine stoppers to sell. Gallery duty tomorrow and I am almost out of these. The new ones are wearing lipstick.
Not much else. Need to get some pants on to do my walk. My doctor was thrilled when I told him I finally listened to him. Tee Hee.

Cardboard was delivered! Very difficult in 50+mph gusts. They acted like sails in the wind and at one point the cardboard flew up and made me punch myself in the mouth. Another 10mph and I just may have knocked out a tooth .
The hike was lovely today. I'm super sore, but I did it. The ladies were nice, but we didn't click like ooh, I want these people as friends. One day I might find my Sedona tribe... the hike had me thinking if I did that 3 or 4 times a week I'd be in phenomenal shape and could eat more carbs! I worked with a whippet-lean guy who was a distance runner. He said he did it mainly for the food. Lordy, he could eat a lot! It was actually a marvel to watch.
My friend just canceled on me tomorrow. I was looking forward to seeing him, but honestly I am so stiff and sore, the idea of cleaning and tidying everything to show him the house for the first time was a daunting prospect.
I think that's it. Maybe I'll do a sauna with my sore self tonight...
Take care!
