We are renting bikes today, but first a Justice walk. Hopefully I have enough energy as I didn't really sleep at all last night. I don't know why some nights I sleep super heavy and other nights not at all.
Not sure what we will do for lunch and dinner but we will just wing it. Last night we went for dinner to a place which was highlighted as having the best happy hour on the island in a couple of articles about HH and it really wasn't very good at all (ambiance, service or food). At least lunch at Salty Dog yesterday was good.
Have a terrific Tuesday!

Cold but sunny today. Good gosh that wind was brutal. I'm soak in the cold today as next week it'll be hot.
Tomorrow I am hiking with a woman I met through a friend of another friend (the one who has been so kind in introducing me at the women's group) and another of her friends. This friend happens to share the uncommon first name of one of my friends from CA. That happens a lot! So many repeat names, like my three D's here!
The hike tomorrow is 5.5 miles, which I think I can do, but the elevation gain is 800 ft. I think I will struggle with that. But I let them know and they promised lots of breaks.
Thursday my best friend who moved to the Phoenix area is coming up to see me here and the house for the first time. He's never been to Sedona! I kept giving him grief because I've been here since July and he hasn't come up. He's one of those people who thrives on how busy he is and I don't often fit into that "busy" unless I go to him. But after nearly 30 years of good friendship, I chalk that up to one of his quirks and he chalks up the fact that I am rarely the one to call him to one of mine. It works even if we irk each other. Irrigation work also starts Thursday.
Today a walk. Food yesterday was good until I broke into a box of Triscuits. Weak moment with very strong carb cravings.
I also need to clean today with my friend coming and I think I'll be too tired and sore after the hike tomorrow.
I think that's it. Take care all!
Greetings all
It's mostly sunny today and is not raining a bit. But just wait. It will happen later in the week.
Scrabble today. First game I got absolutely creamed. Lost the second by one point! Won the third. So it goes. They always make me play the tough guy first. Whine whine. After that I had a brief medical appointment. Then I went to get my now favorite Asian sub sandwich. It's enough for 3 meals yay. Then I had to do quite a bit of driving to get the payroll for the studio and get it back there. So lots of miles on our little electric car.
So I got a generally good report at the doctor and I feel decent. That little bit of exercise does help. I told my doctor I finally listened to him and he said "what? can I take a picture"? He knows how loathe I am to exercise but its only me that suffers if I don't.
CC good on you for your hike. 800 foot climb is a whole lot even over those miles. GL. Bet it's easier than you think. And your buddy visiting will probably come more often when he sees how lovely your house its. GL with that irrigation.
Looking forward to Tahiti chronicles Liz. I have a friend who lived there for awhile. Met Marlin Brando.
House keeper comes tomorrow so will spend the evening shoveling a path. Way too much junk here for two people.
Yooo Hoo Ocean Diane!
Not sure whats for dinner tonight. I will have the asian sub but not sure I want to share.....Diane S
Hi everyone, here at BILs house in the hill country of Texas. After my remarking that BIL aren't entertained by the same thing, he took us to an incredible steak house last night, and we had a foodies meal.
Today he and DH went to the food shelf where he volunteers, and put in a shift. SIL and I went browsing in the cute downtown (New Bruenfels if anyone knows Hill Country) and out to lunch. Tonight we're having dinner in Greune. It has the honor of having the oldest continously operating dance hall in Texas. If you ever saw the movie Michael with John Travolta, the chain of fools dance scene was filmed there. Lots of cute shops and restaurants.
Tomorrow, onto Galveston!
The eagle cam nest disaster is all over my Facebook news feed. Sad news. Nature is unforgiving.
